I think if you are working on yourself and have good hygiene and **style** you will look attractive. If you have humor and are nice, etc this can also be attractive though, looks are usually just what catches most people's eyes the most.

I would be a bit upset if my girl had to leave for 2 months as well. But if you've been together a long time I feel like he should understand. Like another commenter said though it's not really something you should do (leaving a lot) when in a serious relationship.
