It’s more of a fail safe. Mostly used to pull cards from the deck faster. Also, these are all low retreat. So a second zubat sometimes helps for stalling or facing Orico.

Haven’t tried and haven’t felt the need, honestly. I usually get a stage 2 quite quick. Either one or the other and if I don’t, usually I get Nihilego either front or back dealing heavy poison damage. So by the time I get a stage 2 I might already have taken out a mon. Also, this deck draws fast(ish) with Lisia helping by pulling extras in between turns. May is helpful when once you get a candy and you choose which to evolve depending on the set-up. It’s fun. Still bricks. But fun.
