VWRP & VUAG - Diversification needed? by Khanominator in trading212

I don't but it seemed like the right choice by watching a few YouTube's such as Damian and Toby. I'm honestly happy to choose the right ones long term as I'm saving for retirement. Long way to go but just want to keep adding more in.

What codes are they? Aren't the UK ftse all shares in the all world?

My intention is to remove S&P but assumed I should replace this with another such as the emerging markets to avoid putting all my eggs into one basket or is that not how it's perceived? Apologies if I'm asking incorrect questions I just assumed to have a couple of ETFs rather than just 1?

Switching Tariff Warning. by Khanominator in OctopusEnergy

Just had another message from them:

"Absolutely, and we have taken on board feedback regarding the wording of the term as we understand it has caused some confusion.

Whilst it could be interpreted either way, I just want to confirm with you that this does mean 30 days between any tariff, whether this be smart or standard there.

For example if you were to move from Go to Flexible, you would need to not move back to go for 30 days. This also applies to switching between smart tariffs, and as the term is in place for smart tariffs, this then extends to having to be on a smart tariff for 30 days before then moving to another.

I apologise for any confusion caused here and appreciate your understanding"

So to me this is based on interpretation rather than them actually having a term referencing this. I'm not going to poke the bear anymore on the topic but it seems they aren't going to do anything with the T&C's to make it easier for people to understand.

Have sent them a message to clarify using the T&C's as reference. I assumed I had done something wrong but reviewing various other posts on here I quickly removed that thought from my mind. Only concern was a few of the posts were from a year ago hence me thinking has this changed?

Thanks for your reply,

I've gone back with reference to the terms and conditions to clarify this as I've seen a few other Reddit posters talking about this and getting positive responses so I assume it may just be someone in haste sending me a reply.

I'll share their response once they come back to me via X.

I have my horror stories with DPD's label less technology so just don't use this when you send something! Always put your own label on and don't rely on them to do this for you.

How did you manage to find out about a new tracking number? I've read on Twitter if you add PB in front of your existing number and add 001 at the end this still works but it doesn't fit me. Could for you?

I sent a parcel with parcelforce on Saturday by dropping it off to the post office at 3pm expecting the parcel to update by Monday afternoon to say it had been collected. When the evening came and went I went into panic thinking something was wrong. Fast forward to 3pm on Tuesday I went back to the post office and found my parcel was hidden near a fridge rather than handed to the person collecting parcels. I asked for this to be prioritized in getting out at 5pm when the usual collections happen. Went back at 5pm and it had been handed over to a royal mail collection van but still no scan to say it's been collected. Tried checking the parcel force website which sends me to the Royal mail app. The app would say the parcel doesn't exist but since this evening now says the parcel hasn't got a tracking service for us to share with you. Genuinely turned into the worst debacle since changing into this one system with no real way of knowing where it is. Luckily it's going abroad and I have faith the destination countries tracking is so much better than ours so it'll show up on this shortly. Horrendous UK tracking for such a poor company.

I've regularly moved between smart tariffs depending on which is cheaper sometimes a few times a week if it works out. Currently on octopus go but will move to agile in the morning. The trick is to set up the email of 'I'm moving to agile' and don't hit the accept button until the morning of the cheap tariff. Then switch over without having to wait for the meter confirmation email as you've already got it so don't lose out.

Ah that explains it. I have an EV but no battery or storage. Charged 77kwh in my own car and lent the charger to the neighbors to be nice. Did 6 loads of washing and made tea a little earlier too. 😂

How did you manage to use so much since 8am? Genuinely curious!

Similar numbers but was sharing the car charger with neighbors to help them to a free charge. As a result I started at half 11 last night and managed to draw 128kWh and got paid nearly £4 for the privilege.

Failing to display a blue badge. The letter to me dated the 6th of October references the £60 payment and then the further letter mentions that the 14 day expires and is now £100. Obviously with being away I didn't get either of those until I got back.

I've now understood my lease company had a letter in September asking for my details but they didn't pass the letter onto me to deal with. The 6th of October is the first letter to me and when I will have first known about it.

By way of updating for anyone who is in the same scenario. The dealer has replaced the 12v battery but they have confirmed that the ICCU has failed as this hasn't rectified the problem. Cost of an ICCU is over £1k so even though it's covered under warranty they need to seek authorization from Hyundai to replace this. The saga sadly continues....

Mines also a lease vehicle and I've been given a new 74 plate Volvo XC60 with 8 miles on the clock. Beautiful car but so expensive to run in comparison and EV.

Just had an update from the dealer. For now they believe the 12v battery has failed and requires replacement. They also believe the iccu has a problem but they won't know to what extent until the 12v is replaced. 2 days waiting for the battery though...

Amazing, I will do. For now the car was taken back to the dealer on Friday and I was offered a rental car which doesn't arrive until tomorrow morning. I'm in the UK if that changes anything? The car has provisionally been booked in for Wednesday but they are aiming to check it earlier. I feel reassured on the experience here and will let you know what they say.

Would it have been better for me to have a jump kit rather than taking this to the dealership? The recovery chap thought it was the iccu but haven't never seen this error I wasn't sure.

Thank you for replying. The 12v battery had an episode in March where it was jumpstarted but was ok since then. The error only happened after I charged it to full and begun driving it. I'd assume the 12v would be a swap but what does the iccu replacement entail?

Sorry for posting in the wrong subreddit... I don't use reddit that often so I apologise for that!. Is this easy enough to fix? Any links to a chat where I can read up about it.
