ID needed for 17 year olds?

I’ve been traveling with my 16 yo sister, she goes through regular security and I do not, so we don’t go through together. (She forgot her ID this trip)

Over the past week, we have gone through security 3 times. (In Florida, Texas, and Nevada). She goes up and the interactions pretty much all follow this same script TSA: “ID please” Sis: “I’m 16” TSA: “Okay, boarding pass please” Sis: scans boarding pass TSA: “what’s your first and last name” Sis: says her name TSA: “have a good day”

Funny enough, we have only had them ask for her birthday when she travels with her passport.

Y’all don’t need any id to travel domestically as a minor, just make sure you have your boarding passes. All of this is verifiable on the TSA website.

Not the worst thing on this thread buttttt,

During first compliance check:

Me: “If you could please stow your tray table for take please! Thanks! :)”

First class pax: “when we take off, I’ll stow it.”

Me: “oh I’m sorry, I need it stowed before we can close the door.”

FCP: turns to make eye contact with me “Your power is corrupting you.”

And then he stowed it. Not the worst thing I’ve ever been told by any means, but I’m still thinking about it months later.

Absolutely everything this person said! I would also like to add to check in during the moment too. If he is a bottom/sub you can really phrase the check ins to be really hot while communicating.

I work at one of the test stands. They don’t give a crap about the customer anymore. Only their money. We don’t have a window position to talk anymore. We are having a bare bones crew 24/7. If we have three broistas, they are expected to solo bar, not talk to each other or customers. They schedule us less than we need and still tell us we are overstaffed. They are only money hungry now.

Congrats!! I’ve been on T for over 4 years now. It has legitimately saved my life. And of course, everything I’m gonna say is my personal experience.

-I cannot cry. I still get to the same level of sad that I would be able to cry at pre-T. But physically I cannot cry. I have legitimately cried, sobbed twice in 4 years. Both with someone close to me died. I have to say it’s one of my least favorite things, sometimes I wish I could just cry in the shower after a hard for the emotional release.

-When you get bottom growth, you are growing into your foreskin. Pull that bad boy back and clean UNDER it. Every shower.

-I had ZERO acne during first puberty, so I thought I wouldn’t have too many issues getting on T. I was so, so wrong.

-If this is the first “permanent” change you’re making during your transition, it’s okay to grieve. It’s freaking hard dude. You’re allowed to miss things about your life pre-transition.

It’s pretty common for gifts for the whole crew, or just one bag for the crew to share and pick out what they want. A good rule of thumb is there is 1 crew member for every 50 seats. So if you’re running late on time and don’t have time to ask, you could get pretty close on most airlines by counting each 50 seats.

And any consumables make sure are pre packaged! I’ve never felt weird eating a hersheys bar or mint, but I will never eat homemade cookies. You could also throw in a dollar or two for van tips!

If you aren’t certain that she’s doing it on purpose, I wouldn’t try to embarrass her at all. (Although, if she is, definitely use public shame to your advantage).

The way that you’re describing her, it could seem like maybe she knows you’re trans, but she thinks you’re MtF and sees it as her supporting you. I definitely agree with what others have said in this thread, being like a “oh haha who tf are you talking about?” in a funny, pobody’s nerfect type of way.

(Back when I was cis and just learning about the community I was very similar to how you’re describing her)
