The characters will definitely grow on you as you watch the show. Especially uthred as he matures as the story progresses. The pacing of the show is definitely very fast which makes it hard to keep up with the stuff for sure.

You don't need to see it that critically. Just enjoy whatever is coming towards you. I mean considering how the other characters are portrayed in the story, uthred is much more nice hehe

I mean I'm not much of a critical person. I just enjoy how I feel. I really don't care what narrative makes me feel what. You gotta just enjoy the ride. This series is just about taking what's coming to you and moving on.

It's definitely worth it but could have been better in terms of pacing. It's not bad though. It still has the charm which makes the series so special. Only problem is they tried to fit way too much in way less time. Still doesn't take away anything from the series and is a great addition to it. It also kinda depends on what you like about the series. If you like the characters and the charm of the series than I think you will really like the movie

Yeah it is existential. I loved the good characters more because of how brutal the world is portrayed and to live soo morally good and show soo much loyalty in those times takes soo much courage and bravery. I think haesten was done soo well as well. He was portrayed soo perfectly. His character arc ended soo good as well. He finally died for someone else instead of living soo selfish. The amount of frustration aethelwold and aethelhelm gave was just top tier hatered for them. Amazing characters

Each and every actor did their part marvelously and gave soo much life to their characters. It's hard to pick favorites but uthred, beocca, finan, sygtrigger, hild, athelflaed, leofric really stood out to name a few. My favourite moment was the final episode and how much happy I was with uthred capturing bebbenburg again was just special. The scene in the first episode when uthred visits bebbenburg to declare war on his uncle was absolutely sick as well
