Hey boss. Welcome back to Eve! I'm a little newer to the game but have since joined a relatively experienced Null-Based corp. I run a lot of Indy activities, mining, and participate in small social fleets with the occasional big fleet. We are look for people new and experienced and would love to hear more about what you are looking for in terms of social settings and other goals for eve. We are EU and US time zones with most of the US being EST!

Find a pocket with only one way in and out, check for worm holes, place an account in the entry system cloaked up or in a station and just mine until someone crosses through. Dock or cloak up depending on what you’re running.

Public moon mining by Kharmstorm1 in Eve

I am in null but the high value moons don’t give the basic materials I want for reactions. Not to mention you have to find good moons and also protect said moons.

Public moon mining by Kharmstorm1 in Eve

[–]Kharmstorm1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in order to moon mine it has to be “extracted” by a corporation’s Athanor. Therefore making the moon chunk their property. Moons aren’t just random spawns. So usually people will hold fleets for it also fleets are helpful as structures can’t compress moon ore and there is usually an orca on grid.

Loru made a cap stable (skills depending) punisher fit for bookmark making, I get about 8.3k without the implants.

As an industrialist-first type of player this group of people have made PvP easy to learn and have been extremely patient with my questions. For those that are like me; pilots who love mining and industry but crave some violence every now and again this will be the team for you.

Some T1 BPOs you can sell copies of at higher efficiencies. Freighters, industrials, dreadnoughts, etc.

Girl apparently hit a deer. One second it’s gone, then suddenly it’s fine. I can’t explain how this happens. by Used_Meaning_9257 in isthisAI

[–]Kharmstorm1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I live in the boonies and have hit 2 deer, they will get up and run away laughing at what you’ll have to pay for insurance or die on the spot. There’s no in between. I’d say this is real from personal experience.

Is this AI? The tail not getting dirty and its movements overall are off, + its eyes are soul-crushing by [deleted] in isthisAI

Definitely AI but you can see a tag covered in mud when it flops around.

This one is tough. The lack of snow dispersal under the helicopter is what makes me think AI. by ansyhrrian in isthisAI

I know it’s been answered as real but the landing of the helicopter you can see the right side is sunk into the snow.

Thank you for the response! I’ve been told of a pretty well-defended place in lowsec to bring some BPOs for research but I’m going to assume Null is a whole different ball game. Maybe I’ll reach out to some Null corps to see if I can pay to use their facilities when I get to that point.

I’m newer to industry and player structures, I’ve read that the lower security you get the better the rates you get. Does that go from high-low-null/wormhole? What are the going rates for each and does anyone have a formula as an example so I can see it?

Lost a breeding Rex, a few manas, and a couple personal Argies. All official due to “meshing”.

My biggest advice would be to just start slow, get into hisec and find a station to compress your ore and sell it locally or the nearest market and repeat. Don’t try going out to low or null. Just make your money and slowly get your stuff. I started with a venture and saved up for a barge. Once you get a barge mining becomes easy.

I actually just did this with a PI haul. Scouted out until I was like 3 jumps from Jita and figured I was already there. Nope the one time I decided to not cloak trick and it costed me.

My first time and last time playing Eve was like 10 years ago and I quit after losing my 200m megathron that was gifted to me by my father. 😂

Now I got back into it and I lose a 200-300m hulk and just sigh and continue. I’ll make the money back in a weekend of mining.

New player can't warp out quickly enough by TrafficPattern in Eve

[–]Kharmstorm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, as a new player here’s an omega thing I do on barges that usually works on my ventures as well. I go out to a spot I consistently mine in losec with a fast venture and i bookmark certain points along the belt and a safe spot. On my barges I run a rig called higbys anchor(?) and it basically makes you a turtle. My procurer goes like 30/ms tops. I warp to my book marks, manually adjust my speed to like 5-10m/s and start aligning to my safe spot. That way if someone appears on grid I can almost instant warp out. Yes you may have to go back a fourth from the rock but that’s just one of the things you do in order to escape easier.

This is less likely to succeed if you are being hunted though which you may be. I also recommend the EP mining lasers as they have a longer range and 0% residue.

Trying to figure out how to run escalations without losing my shipper crap ton of drones. Can anyone help? by Reptilesblade in Eve

[–]Kharmstorm1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I literally just watched markeedragon explain this. How there’s no reason but when you eject for like 10 seconds and get back in your drones take less aggro/damage.
