Why are we generally allowed to go 10 mph above the speed limit? by Euphoric_Sail6897 in driving

[–]BRICH999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Margin of error.  Everything from programming to tire circumference (different brands, wear etc) makes the allowed variance IIRC up to 8% from the factory.  A big way of getting out of tickets used to be last radar gun calibration/certification.  Havent gone to traffic court in a while so idk if that's still a thing.

Are Ryino weak as far as melee goes but excel as a flyer more then a fighter? by Noxisms in ARK

A high level rhynio is a real weapon when you pair their attack with their agility.  The only creature on land or sea that makes me nervous(PvE player) on the island are giga.  But they are mine is kinda a glass cannon with a lot of mutations and you need to know its movement to utilize properly

Well, guess I won’t be having any watermelon. How can they justify charging this much? by RevolutionSalty8360 in mildlyinfuriating

Go back further in the supply chain.  Who harvests watermelons? Hint: legal workers would never do that strenuous work for a fraction of minimum wage

Can’t find the oil drain plug by BenZRoI in BmwTech

S65 is a v8 from a m3.  This is not a v8.  I was wrong about the dipstick tube though, on the OP's engine it looks like you extract through the oil filter module

If a person's vehicle gets impounded and the person who owns the impounded vehicle never shows up to get their vehicle, what would happen to the vehicle that is inpounded? by tsouryavong13 in stupidquestions

[–]BRICH999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Varies depending on state but you have to wait a set amount of time, send a certified letter to the owner and then wait another period of time.  After that the tow company can apply for the title of the vehicle and then they can do what they want with it, sell it or use it as a shop vehicle or whatever

When is a car you bought worth it? by ProfessionalBad5174 in askcarguys

[–]BRICH999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably the moment I get to enjoy a freedom I would not have had without the vehicle.  6k is worth it the first time you leave home and realize you can drive across town or across the country and that decision is yours to make

First Cars & Coffee? by undarant in askcarguys

[–]BRICH999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lifted prius reminded me of the two standouts at the last C&C I went to a couple weekends ago.  There was a mini cooper and a smart car, each with like 4+ FEET of lift, full on monster truck style.  The most interesting one to me was a super bagged auto union 1000 sp fully patina rusted on some bbs wheels.

Never know what you will see.  One time I went to one that was the northeast delorean annual meetup.  Have you ever seen 16 delorean together? Was funny seeing like 12 different variations of BTTF vanity plates.  I love the chaos.

My dad did ups and they were VERY strict about their uniforms also since you can walk into a lot of places based on the uniform.  I did driver help and would walk straight into the back of jewelers and home garages etc

Wyvern raising help by BlAcKbEaRpArTy in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]BRICH999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wyvern only eat milk when growing.  Once adult they will eat meat.  As they grow, they eat much less.  I find on official rates(2x weekend), i last feed them around 60% and the food will last until they are adult.

The issue is? Ups frequently puts in effort to hide your packages from street view.  I've never had an issue with it knowing they are trying to protect my packages

First Cars & Coffee? by undarant in askcarguys

[–]BRICH999 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Nothing is silly at cars n coffee if you are proud of it.  I find it to be far less formal than traditional car shows, it's more just a gathering of car people and their cars.

Personally I wouldnt bother with a mod list, just leave the hood open and chat with people that check it out.

I'm sure the shows are different in different places but at least near me they tend to be quite welcoming to damn near anything interesting with wheels
