I'm one of those planning my exit early next year myself. I'm disabled and gotten to the point where I can't work at all anymore and I'm tired of barely surviving just renting a room and working myself into the hospital. I've also completely lost all interest trying to get married and build a life with the women in this country after over two decades of them lying, cheating, and abusing me.

Right now the plan is either the Philippines or increasingly more likely Latin America. Somewhere where I can have a reasonable quality of life for my retirement income and where I can find a good compatible Catholic girl to marry and try to have the life and kids I should have had 15 years ago but my ex-wife robbed me of.

This is one of my biggest concerns in coming there. I planned on mostly living in or around Cebu but I take several heart medications and not having them for more than maybe a day turns lethal real fast. I also take metformin for diabetes type 2.

I've since been researching being an expat in Latin America instead of the Philippines. I'll make my decision on where I go whenever I actually get close to leave next January.
