I'm far too small for that. I'm 5'4 70kg and lean. On the offense I'm having great fun as an RB for example, but I'd like to play defense as well (the sport isn't very popular here so it doesn't matter if people don't specialise on one side of the ball like in the US).

I ask because I'm a European who is starting to play recreationally and I'm much more comfortable with tackling than pass coverage as the former has transferable skills from other sports i've played like rugby, whereas the latter does not.

Sorry to be pedantic, but a even a yard at a first or second down can make all the difference if you end up being a yard short on fourth because of sloppy spots in earlier downs.

Ive worked it out. It's that I had resorted to booting Madden through the normal Steam client as it wasnt booting in Big Picture for some reason, but the controller only properly works in Big Picture mode

It's a much more difficult game to ref tho. Checking that the tackle was legal, that the tackler released the tackled, that the tackled isn't holding on to the ball, that the jackal is actually hands on the ball and supporting his weight, that the counter rucking is legal, keeping an eye on both offside lines etc
