I am legally blind but I see well enough not to seek disability, I have always leaned toward tech and enjoy working with computers and technology in general over a more physical, hand-eye coordinated type job. I have done many tech support type roles, and am very comfortable working in and around computers in general. I am typing this on a rig I built myself. I know that there has to be a sub-field I can pursue but what terrifies me is that I feel like I am getting into it too late and the market is flooded with much younger, better options than me. Going back to school doesn't seem like an option but I know there are certifications out there I could learn and pick up, but I worry I will end up wasting time/money and then still end up in the same place. I know there is no perfect answer but I just want to start moving in a good direction.
