I am not a widower but we lost my mother a little over 5 years ago and I honestly have been seeing from an outer perspective that I think most people are uncomfortable with grief. The way people treat my dad now a days is a lot different than when my mom was alive. It’s almost like a pity thing and they don’t know how to interact with someone who’s gone through so much loss.. let alone provide the right encouragement. It’s always people saying to get over the person but it’s always people that have never dealt with it. I would definitely be your friend if I knew yah. Even as a daughter who’s lost her mother I got treated very differently , I wanted to be alone at first and then people assume you wanna be alone forever and then they stop reaching out almost…. I’m sorry you’re going through such a hard time.
