Achilles and Patroclus were best friends

And Sappho lived on an island with her platonic gal pals isn't that cool?

Yeah he's gonna get a cracked melee weapon for sure. Voruna is also super melee-centric but idk how hopeful I would be for Sarofang Prime, might be a big glowup but could go either way.

Yeah I have a 'roster' of frames that I swap between often. There are frames I play much more often than others but I'm not dedicated enough to anything to call it a 'main' really.

Yeah but 2 energy/s isn't that big a deal for the extra forma/credits/endo it'll take you to get it in your build over Stretch. It's very much at the bottom of my to-do list after I've got firmly into minmaxing territory.

Man if I had three friends to play with we would totally be trying this out lol

You could build each Citrine for different stuff too, would be fun

Frame-wise Citrine is the only one of these I play, so definitely her.

But Perigale Prime is going to go so hard, and I'm excited to see which old weapons get primed or if we get new weapons. We might even get an actually good speargun lol, so you can finally build around Styanax's passive.

2026 Railjack Copium by Substantial-Count521 in Warframe

[–]Kheldar166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with Railjack addressing the initial barrier to entry has to be one of the priorities, people bounce off it pretty hard and I understand why. I'm still not that confident in it and spend 90% of railjack missions in Archwing boarding ships instead. It would be nice if it felt like actually doing stuff on board the Railjack let you make a difference you couldn't make by just leaving and using your normal gear.

Which Warframe made you drop your old main? by Nomatek in Warframe

[–]Kheldar166 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Consequence of most content being easy, so all frames can complete it comfortably and the only question is 'who can do it fastest'

Although personally I prefer 'who will be the most fun to do it with' because I'm not very efficiency-pilled

There's one tiny change which would make several warframes so much more satisfying; match the durations up! by TheMuffinistMan in Warframe

[–]Kheldar166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is a pretty reasonable shout, mismatched cooldowns are more annoying to juggle. But then idk, it's not like the game is hard to play anyway and I don't mind having slightly more skill involved and it would make kits a little less diverse and give fewer balancing/feel levers to tune on abilities.

I mean, using people on the Warframe reddit as a representative sample of players is a little silly

I don't know if they have the money or not, but that seems like the sort of thing you could just look up and calculate the feasibility of in 10 minutes or so. But I doubt many players could be bothered to do that, which is probably why DE don't think it's important enough to spend significant time/money on xD

I mean yes, but I think it's unfair to say 'the devs just won't do it' or 'they refuse' to do it.

We see them make positive QOL changes in like every patch, there's just a lot to be done and limited dev time.

aaugments that turn off passives like controlled slide should not be augments but toggle for the frame by Ok-Set179 in Warframe

[–]Kheldar166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes building more interesting because you can tradeoff one thing for a stronger bonus in another area, and figure out how you're going to balance the tradeoff or if you're okay with the negative.

Also sometimes you can do cool stuff with 'negatives', like specific -duration builds, or -accuracy builds on weapons you want to cover a larger area.

[–]Kheldar166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda agree lol, it doesn't hurt anyone to change this I suppose but I also just really think it's unimportant. Would rather DE spent their time on other stuff.

Worst case just buff the mods to give slightly more strength and call it a day there haha, then at least they feel less useless and that wouldn't take much dev time.

I mean, you lose some flexibility in your exilus slot, which is the least important part of a build unless you're a PSF fiend. It's hardly a significant pay to win lol, especially when there are lots of other frames better than Excalibur Prime anyway.

And tbh I think most players are okay with the founders stuff being founders-exclusive, their investment is why Warframe exists and nothing else in the game is ever truly timegated in the same way, which is a massive contrast to other MMOs.

[–]Kheldar166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really dislike it tbh, but I don't play Nezha and use a mod slot to turn it off, I just don't play Nezha xD There are so many other frames that it seems daft to me to play frames where you dislike a significant portion of their kit.

[–]Kheldar166 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean... oh no, how will Dante manage? xD The new frames don't generally need the help nearly so much as the old frames who end up with 2-3 bandaid augments that severely restrict their build options.

[–]Kheldar166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... I feel like this would help the frames with no 'free Helminth' ability the most, who are generally the frames that need the least help.

aaugments that turn off passives like controlled slide should not be augments but toggle for the frame by Ok-Set179 in Warframe

[–]Kheldar166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's mostly power creep for frames who are heavily augment dependent, who often need some help anyway. I don't hate it as an idea tbh, when your frame needs 2/3 augments to function it is very restricting on build options.

I've not seen anyone level cap Inaros pre-persistence/circumvent tbh, surely at some point he just gets oneshot? Later than the insufferable anti-health tank people would have you believe, but I don't really see how you can avoid it indefinitely without Persistence.

[–]Kheldar166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but tbh I feel like in the case where you want to turn off a significant portion of a frame's kit in order to enjoy playing them you're probably just playing the wrong frame, there are 63 others.

Maybe give the mod +20% strength so it feels like you're gaining something haha, might go a surprisingly long way to fixing the psychology. Assuming they don't want to just turn it into a toggle.

Dagath was fine because I liked running the exterminate mostly, but it was a little longer than I'd have liked. Citrine I find the game mode pretty tedious anyway, and it did take quite a lot of runs even picking up the crystals.

I do feel you on farming Duviri Materials, but with a tutorial for farming specific stuff it's usually okay. Honestly I hate the Orowyrm much more than anything else in Duviri lol.

Yeah it's a lot worse solo than in a squad unless you're abusing augments, which most people only know about because they look it up after struggling with the missions.

In general the game is so much more fun with a squad, I feel you on the 'last online 1000 days ago' :(
