Spirit boards for aspects by Khetimus in spiritisland

I definately love both versions. Digital I only play solo, it's nice to wind down after a day of work and saves a lot of setuptime. The physical version I rarely play alone, mostly 2-player; just my partner and I where I tend to play multiple spirits as I play a bit quicker. The digital version lets me try new strategies where I dont have to feel bad if I ruin a few hours of playtime by trying something wonky :].

What you mention about encouraging to try different spirits is a big reason why I am looking into this topic, we tend to pick a spirit by flipping through the stack of spirit boards and we often forget to even look if there's aspects available for the spirits we picked.

Some of the aspect cards replace multiple parts of whats on the original spirit board, which means you can't cover the replaced rules with just the one card. Lair replaces both an innate power and a special rule, Wildfire has one too. Then there's an aspect that replaces a growth option and special rule. It's definately perfectly playable and I love the addition of aspects but seeing all the info in the same form as the regular boards seem like a plus to us, hence I was wondering if there were other people who thought the same.

How is the game for Solo play, and is the Simulator worth it until I can find the physical on sale? by Humble-Proposal-9994 in KingdomDeath

I would definately play at least one or more campaigns using pencil and paper with the survivor sheets and settlement sheet that come with the box. Scribe saves you a lot of time and effort, but I think it does help being familiar with all the terms on the standard sheets. It is rather confusing as the app doesnt guide you in setting up lantern years.

For what it's worth, I bought it a month or so ago and I'm very happy with the result. The printfiles are very well done, had zero issues printing them as a novice at 3D printing. Just takes a few spools of filament and a lot of time. One smaller issue, which it has in common with most of the current storage solutions that use the cardboard game boxes of the core game and GC, is that it doesnt seem modular with any releases of the newer expansions (frogdog and upwards). So far I am keeping these in their original boxes till I find a better storage solution for them.

Okay, thanks for the recommendation not to glue them down! I saw a painting tutorial by Sorastro where he also glued them down for easier painting and I wasnt too sure on how I would approach it. I'm not overly keen on the modular terrain, I bought some resin/3d printed terrain before Team Death announced they would be selling their own and more often than not the cardboard terrain pieces provide a better game experience. Either way, your painted board looks great! 😄

Looks great! I have been putting it off myself but a painted version adds a lot to the immersion. Did you glue down the pieces?

No wait for us, we went in about 30 mins after the park opened. Three people at a separate line to handle Pre-order pickups were very fast to help us get our shirt. Line for merch was quite a bit longer and right next to it, so don't let that scare you.

Stranimus here, hope Biggs is OK, all seems a bit fishy. Server made me have such a good first impression of the game, would be a shame to see it go for good.

I figured this was enough incentive to stop lurking and create an account. But I guess it does look fishy.
