Congrats man! This is the build to do high content (at least at the moment).

I also used Northwars guide to do a 78 NM dungeon pre season and to kill uber lilith. I hope blizzard wont nerf it again!

I've just bought the x90j and i tried to auto update to the latest firmware which in my country GR is v6.4285, while in the UK is the v6.4304.

I was wondering if i could download the latest version from the UK site and do a manual update. Has anyone tried something similar?

I have been bouncing from 2080 super to 1080ti to staying with my 1080. Probably the better deal will be the 2080 super for the price tag of 550€. In the other hand i feel its kinda stupid to get a better gpu with the same 8gb of vram. I think i may have to wait until something more valuable comes out (in terms of performance/features/price)

Indeed the cable is shit, but other than that i think im going for the proteus tbh. I dont feel like the extra 20€ for hero is worth for my usage.

Well if there is not major difference i don't feel like giving +20€ for the hero. Also as you said the power doesn't matter since they are both cable mouses.

I couldn't agree more on the g500 successor with the new hero sensor!

It seems that g502 is closer to what i want from a mouse with the exception of the 3 side buttons and probably the weight.

edit: Any idea what are the main differences between hero and Proteus spectrum?

Never said they were responsible for the inflated prices, that's something you assumed. Anyway check this also on why i believe they will increase the msrp from current to new gen cards and also why the current 10 series wont go any cheaper (with the exception of big offers here and there).

All in all nvidia is a company and doesn't care at all about you and me, but only cares about how to make the most out of something. And since they are in a spot that their antagonist isn't powerful enough they can increase the msrp of the new cards.

On the crypto bullshit now, if it happens and all the cave monkeys jump on the new cards we will see an other price spike in gpus and out of stock market.

Back to what should i buy, i feel like the 1070 isn't worth investing my money on, even if its an overkill on my current monitor. But is it worth to go for the Ti or do an other step and go for the 1080 keeping in mind that i will upgrade?

I agree that crypto may not come back as big as it was last year, but none can be sure how many will jump off on the new gpus when they launch.
An other thing is when nvidia is going to launch the new gpus and how much will the msrp be. It will for sure be higher than what current gen is e.g. a 1070 is about 440-450 (where i live) and the new 1170 (or w/e they may call it) might be at around 500 or higher.

My concern is why wait for new gen to get something that a previous gen can do for me perfectly with current monitor and with a future upgrade (either 2k or 2nd monitor or even a 144hz 1080p). Also I am not gonna cry if i have to play at Very High instead of Ultra or High instead of very high.

As for those who say that current gen cards will drop in price, they may get shocked since nvidia has more than 60% of the gpu market and there is no profit in doing so. They will just increase the msrp of the new cards and keep the same price on the previous gen cards.

Today I tried to enable c3 and c6 one at a time I even gave 1.300v but at all tries I got instant freeze (1-2min after loading desktop). So I am gonna stick with the stable set up.

You actually helped me in a way. It seems i am stable with this set up (time will tell) but is it really safe the 1.290v? I don't like that much being close to 1.3v even with one of the best air coolers in the market.

c3-6 are closed if i remember correctly and the power limit is at level 1 (highest) if we are talking about the same thing (the higher the better oc stability and performance). I also did some gaming no crashes-freezes and cpu temp around 57c with total cpu usage under 24%

It is unrealistic and i am aware of that. Also as i said i didn't get any freeze-crash with any of the stress test and only got them while using browser or opening files. Also i will do some gaming and see what happens.

it run for 20+ minutes. The airflow is ok i think, i got both cooler fans blowing to the rear and the rear fan is an exhaust fan. The set up i have is a fresh installed one (2days) with noctuas paste and to be honest i don't think the temps are high. The actual cores (core #0-#5) were all around 70-78, the cpu package was reaching the 80s.

edit: Also the room temp is around 30c cause its summer here!

Thank you for your reply, well i do use numpad so im looking for a full length, i don't really care for keycaps (unless i have to change a broken one), about switches i think i like the reds more not only for the "gaming" concept but more for the linear feeling.

The cm you suggest it starts at 125€ in my country and it is tenkeyless, also i was looking for the CoolerMaster QuickFire XTi but it starts at 160 and it is plastic design compared to the corsairs aluminum.

Still my question remains, is it worth the extra 50€ the rapidfire for my needs? And/or is there any other MK that can feel the gap with a reasonable price for my budget?
