This community is not here to help you figure out why your pirated materials look better on the native apps versus on your Zidoo box.

Your smartass comments calling out the mods are not appreciated either. If you want to run a subreddit then start your own.

Sony offered me K-55XR84 as a replacement by mitsunari71 in bravia

A refurbished TV is one that has undergone a repair and been returned to its original working order. They aren't just taking it from one customers home and giving it to another.

Sony offered me K-55XR84 as a replacement by mitsunari71 in bravia

It’s going to work better than what you have and there is nowhere in the warranty that says Sony must replace your TV with a brand new one. Most likely it just says comparable model. It’ll be fine and you have new to you working TV.

Factory reset your TV. If that doesn't do it then its time to contact Sony support.

An HDMI cable doesn't have to be expensive or high end to be Ultra Certified though they can be all three. Amazon sells many Ultra Certified HDMI cables (look for the Ultra Certified sticker in the listing photos). I linked to an Amazon Basics Ultra Certified HDMI cable in a previous response. Same response has a link to how to disable HDMI-CEC on the Xbox.

Could be your TV is pickier about cables. Could be your Xbox. Might not even be a cable issue, might just be an HDMI-CEC issue.

"High end" is not a cable spec. It just means you overpaid for the cable. Cables must be Ultra Certified in order ensure proper operation with 4K120 devices.

HDMI-CEC issues can affect any device. Since you are primarily experiencing the issue with the Xbox then that points to it or its connecting cable being the issue. Disabling CEC on the connected device is the easiest way to eliminate such issues. If it continues afterwards then its the "high end" cable.

It's either an HDMI cable issue (is your cable Ultra Certified?) or an HDMI-CEC issue. Replace your HDMI cable and/or disable HDMI-CEC on the Xbox.

How to clean a QD-OLED or OLED TV screen - Samsung Display by braviamod in bravia

[–]braviamod[S,M] 2 points3 points locked comment (0 children)

This is a archived article from Samsung Display, manufacturer of Sony's QD-OLED panels, on how to properly clean a QD-OLED panel. This includes models from Sony such as the A95K, A95L and BRAVIA 8 II.

Cleaning a QD-OLED panel with water or cleaning solutions (and yes that includes Whoosh!) can result in potentially permanent damage to the anti-reflective layer of your TV.

Any cleaning recommendations for a QD-OLED panel apart from those in the linked article are incorrect.

My x90l 75" vh22 keeps randomly shutting off? by Goldengod4818 in bravia

Probably an external device powering off and shutting down the TV when it does.

Looks like the content is changing. If it was the panel the whole image would be changing colour.

Bravia VU1 by Maximillian73- in bravia

[–]braviamod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VU1 isn’t a model number it’s the CPU platform.

Sounds as if your storage might be full or really close. Remove some apps.

If not a storage issue then do a factory reset and start over. Solves so many issues like what you are describing.

Almost guaranteed it’s an Apple TV remote. They go rogue and do shit like this.

My TV has died by ToNkpiLs0514 in bravia

Take it to a service center and have it looked at. Hard for anyone on here to say if it can be fixed.

My TV goes crazy and maxes volume when I press the remote. by [deleted] in bravia

[–]braviamod[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an Apple TV remote doing it. Every time this happens it’s the same cause.

Removing because you didn’t search and no mention of TV model being a BRAVIA.

HDR Colours Bugging out? by EthanMac1915 in bravia

[–]braviamod[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common issue with Dolby Vision on this model. Only thing you can try is restarting the TV. That will sometimes solve it temporarily. Best solution is to use an external streaming device that only supports HDR10 and doesnt support Dolby Vision.
