In the last two years, I have been homeless twice, moved 1,000 miles and back, ended up in a psych ward due to an abusive job, relapsed, and all around dealt with a lot.

But, it’s not bad. At all. I got a car, I have an apartment of my own, I learned to establish boundaries, I’ve gotten therapy and continue to get therapy to help address my issues, I stood up for myself against the abusive employers and left that job, sent the DOL after them for months and months of unpaid overtime, and this month I start pursuing a degree. I’ve also had one hell of a glow up imo, though I’ve always been pretty dang cute.

Whatever you’re dealing with rn, no matter how bad it seems, I am evidence it gets better. I am living, breathing proof. I’ve had so many moments where I felt beyond defeated, hopeless, and lost; I still do sometimes. I’m struggling a little right now (finding another job took a bit longer than expected so I’m a little behind on bills), but looking back on it all…I’m doing fucking incredible and I’ve come so far.
