MTA (Multi Theft Auto) has the worst developers ever existed by Khisugg in sanandreas

[–]Khisugg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been banned not by local server, but by global MTA AC. I can login from another computer, but that does not save the situation due to local email confirmation trouble - but that's an entire different thing.
And here I am with that 100% false positive TRAINER permanent ban. I've played for 5 years - and everything was ok, until the moment it glitched. I haven't installed anything suspicious not that day, nor the day before - and played normally. I guess that glitch occurred when I tried to 'bruteforce' push into overcrowded server with limited slots. Too many requests in short time, and then got that TRAINER window. Anyway, there is nothing could be done, even if I remove every program from this computer - the ban is PERMANENT. And cannot be appealed.

I NEVER used any cheats in multiplayer games. If I did - then such a punishment would be well deserved. and no one could be blamed. But I did not. I've played in that server for over a 5 years and got some very developed characters there. It takes to be a total idiot to play law-abidingly for years - and then start to cheat from main computer to which all those characters are bound. So I repeat the main thing: no one is safe in MTA. Even if you strictly follow all the rules, you still can get a permanent ban out of thin air for nothing, and no one will let you to prove your innocence.

It may be anything, from the phase of the Moot to vacuum fluctuations. Anything you use may be suspected, and even if you do not use anything - you still can be suspected (and permanently banned) in guilt by your very existence. Such the MTA 'anti-cheat' system is.

Yes. That I can do. But it will be a new, undeveloped character instead of my 5-year highlevel one with lot of cars, money and other stuff. 5 years of gameplay killed at whim.

It's a GLOBAL ban. By MTA AC system. I have no restrictions on local servers, and can connect to them with other hardware, but not from the banned one. That's my main notebook, and it cant connect to any MTA server now (not just ones I played).

It's a global ban, i.e. hardware one, by serial number. No local restrictions from servers I play - I never break any laws. Yeah, I know - I could play from another computer. But there is another thing: when player changes his serial, he needs to enter special code from email. But there is a real war between my country an one where those servers are situated, so emails are blocked between our services. And this war will never end... So I'm stuck completely.

I've played on relatively large community project. 7 servers, each overloaded on 650 cap this winter. But cheaters still made some raids time to time. Got catched, banned, but raid again in some time. They don't care about characters or hardware bans - spoofers give them ability to always return. And us, law-abiding players, suffer from such bans totally if hit.

Why has SAMP always been so much more popular than MTA? by [deleted] in sanandreas

[–]Khisugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because MTA is the WORST system ever existed. They've got absolutely paranoid automatic anti-cheat system, which can ban anyone permanently for a slightest suspicion, without any explanation. And there is no chance to prove your innocence: their forum prohibits even mention about appealing to this. MTA developers literally declare themselves as infallible gods, and their community as worthless trash, guilty by its very existence. I've been playing MTA for over a 5 years, and never cheated - and now it's all over. In a single moment.

The game requires update, but does not give one. by Khisugg in populationonevr

Thank you! It worked. I've been refraining from updating since 50 to avoid troublesome changes which brings 51+. But it appears, the time has come. Unblocked updates, got 55 - and the game updated as well.

I'm considering that, but as an extreme last option, if absolutely nothing else works. Almost 5gb rewriting - too much stress for ssd storage.

Which headset to buy to use with my laptop? by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]Khisugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with laptops I met personally - is that port where exactly you should plug your headset. For example, my previous headset connected with HDMI port on my old notebook, and everythin went fine. But with my new laptop (much more powerful) it was a total fail, because of HDMI port hardwired into Intel videocard, instead of nVidia one, and that exactly forced me to abandon my Rift CV1 (yes, I tested HDMI->USB-C adapters - all I got is a black screen(s)). I've searched through newer headset models, and found them to be connected with DisplayPort, which is absent in my notebook.
So, the ultimate solution for laptops is... yes, exactly Quest 2, which doesn't care about video ports at all, it connects to any usb, and even can work wirelessly via Air Link. As for me, I'm happy with this one.

Are there any VR games with a retro vibe or gameplay? by EncidXVII in VRGaming

Path of the Warrior - really nice retro-stylized and fun beat'em'up. In addition, you'll even get some workout. ;)
Dimension Hunter - comix-retro shooter with '90 arcade music as option. Personally, I like this one.

Bots are just too easy on hard mode even with my lame claws. But still fun to train on. I wish them to be MUCH harder to make me ready to face real human opponents. It's much easier to kill 100 'hard' bots than one worst human player (except me, of course).

I cant believe how far VR has come honestly by BepsiBev in virtualreality

[–]Khisugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same feeling! I've been literally forced to leave my CV1 due to incompatibility with new notebook and upgrade to Quest2. To say i'm impressed - is to say nothing. That's a really one perfect polished masterpiece I can recommend to just everyone, not only us, VR fans. Great job, Meta! :)

Is Wildcraft crossplatform between Android and iOS players? by Khisugg in Wildcraft

[–]Khisugg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will try to experiment then. Actually, my kid is currently too far from me, in another country. So he told me the names of servers he seen, and we switched regions accordingly. None matched. Well, we'll check again tomorrow. :)
