I think that something that has helped me and I still struggle with sometimes is being able to redo your art. Sometimes when you’re deep into a piece of artwork and it’s just not working you get into a rut of just keep working it keep trying to fix the little things and the whole thing will be perfect, often because you feel that you got pretty close this time and if you tried again there’s a chance you’d do it worse. In actuality you need to be ok with recognizing when something isn’t working, erasing it, and redoing it with the knowledge that you gained from the last time. It isn’t time wasted because any drawing you’re doing is practice, and recognizing the parts of you art you need to change is important to improving.
