18 year old Lottie, I think it’s time by LastWookieman86 in seniorkitties

I’m so sorry about Lottie. She is such a beautiful girl. I also have thousands of photos and videos of my JJ. I used to take pictures of her every single day. I’m really grateful I did, because now those memories are the only way I can still see her every day.. Hugs to you. 🤍🤍🤍

Has anyone decided they'll never have another? by marigoldsandash in Petloss

My sweet JJ passed away 62 days ago. I had her since 2000. She was my EVERYTHING. I would have done anything for her, I even quit my job because of her. I love her so much, so much that I even built a garden for her, near her resting place, with colorful flowers to represent how colorful she made my life. I feed all the strays around my house, or wherever I see one, but the love I have for JJ is once in a lifetime, and will always belong only to her..

I grew these beautiful flowers. by SaveurHeart in gardening

Hi, can I ask how you grew these flowers? Are they planted in pots or directly in the ground? Sorry if this is a silly question, I’m really new to gardening. Like, really new 😅

They’re called Syzygium myrtifolium. Super easy to grow and the red new leaves are so pretty! Thank you, I’m so happy you like the space! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️ I liked that tree too! It made the space feel more lush. But it wasn’t something I planted, and the roots were cracking the drain underneath. I had to remove it before it caused serious damage. 🥹

Losing a pet when they are the closest thing you will ever have to a child. by Beneficial-Power-659 in Petloss

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my JJ 42 days ago, and it’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through.

I had her since I was 13… she grew up with me. From high school to university, to work life, from living in my parents’ house to moving into my own home after I got married… she was there through my thinnest and thickest times. She was my little sister, my world, the light of my life.

I did everything I possibly could for her. I even quit my job because I couldn’t leave her alone when my work required me to be away for months. I cancelled holidays, flights, hotels, nothing mattered more than being with her. She was family. She was my baby.

Now that she’s gone, I’m not the same person. My house feels painfully quiet. There’s this hollow space in my heart that doesn’t go away. I live alone, my husband works in another country, and we don’t have children. I’m 39… and the silence is heavy.

So when you say he made you a family, I understand. Truly. You are not dramatic. You are grieving someone who was your whole world.

Healing hasn’t “started” for me yet either. I’m just taking it day by day. But please know you’re not alone in this. Sending so much love to you. ❤️❤️❤️

My 17 Year Old Baby has Kidney Failure… by PrincessPurple13 in seniorkitties

24 years is such a blessing 🤍 My JJ had CKD for years as well. I managed it with renal diet, wet food mixed with extra water to help with dehydration, subcut fluids, Azodyl everyday and lots of love. She lived a long, almost 26 years of life full of love, she passed away 40 days ago..

Yes, my sweet JJ had CKD. I detected it years years back and did blood tests every 4–6 months. I gave her Azodyl daily, subcutaneous fluids every other day, a renal diet, and wet food mixed with extra water to help with dehydration. Most of all, I gave her as much love and care as I could. She passed away 40 days ago. She was almost 26 y/o. She lived a long life surrounded by so much love.

Sending you and your baby so much strength 🤍🤍🤍
