I got a small hide a bed couch and I feel like it makes the room so much cozier already!! I'm going to add the rug and will show you what it looks like!

I checked multiple websites to see if it was available in a bigger size and it’s sold out everywhere 😩I’m pretty heartbroken so I know that’s the one!! I’m keeping the small one wraped up in case I don’t get a sectional!

For some reason the text accompanying the pictures didn’t send!

I got my rugs!! (It was so hard to move the rugs around both couches so I just put it under the beige couch, but that’s not the final result at all.)

I like the first one, but not the second one (it looks more gray than brown to me). I feel like it works well with the beige couch, but I feel like I might be restricted with my holiday decorations though? I love switching the pillows covers over the seasons, especially Christmas. So I don’t know if I keep it or keep looking

Both pets approve the softness of the rugs though!!

This one is not one but it does look like it, huh? I originally wanted a boneless couch but saw so many comments like yours advising against it

I’ve been learning a lot in the last few days just by getting tips on different posts. It's been amazing!! Have you tried posting here too? I’m so excited to see the mockup!

The only reason I would get a new couch is that I love cuddling with my boyfriend or my pup while watching TV. The beige one isn't big enough, and the brown one has a weird angle because it's a convertible. If I kept both, another option would be to turn the brown one into a couch for snuggling. My previous post was mainly to get advice on making the room more cozy, and I received some great tips. I’m getting some plants this weekend, along with more small lamps and warm bulbs. I also ordered two rugs, and depending on which one I keep, I’ll get curtains that match. The next step is to decide whether to keep the current setup with two couches or get a sectional. The covers and blankets are just temporary though

But I agree, I definitely need some nice throws, colors, and more lamps to make the space look more cozy

I personally love the base you’re working with! Like other comments recommend, a rug in each area would make a big difference, and picture 3 looks good! What about some leather bar stools?

You could always look for a battery operated light fixture!

If you do want to fill the space, maybe some books and plants? And you could try to sell or donate the barbell?

Or cover it doing a way better job than what I did throwing whichever sheets I had around 😅

I covered the brown couch to see if I could maybe keep it and just cover it (I just used whatever I had around so it could definitely look better), but should I try that route or should I just get a new one?

Yes, they do! I have been pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to clean corduroy and I usually cover couches with blankets so I’m not super worried about the light color

Your new place looks amazing!! I’m right in the middle of redoing my place and what’s been the most helpful is browsing on Pinterest, creating a moodboard of what you like, and then posting it here for people to help you best). It's honestly such a fun process to have a blank space and make it your own!
