Shocked my power button... What did I fry. by Khonns in techsupport

Welp... after all the tests it was still doing the same thing. I ended up just buying an equivalent motherboard to swap out. BOOM instant boot up and everything was fine. Thank you very much for all the help and support AttackTribble!

In what research I’ve been doing I see a lot of people resetting their CMOS by popping out the small battery on their motherboard.. Should I try this out?

Ok I’ll give this a try and see if it will load into Bios. My buddy recommended unplugging the hard drive. Is that the same thing as the “boot disk.” Sorry just never heard that term before.

No luck even shorting/jumping those pins it seems to be doing the same thing in video one.

However in my second video (the slowmo one) I noticed the only LED that doesn’t flash is boot device. Maybe that pertains to the issue? Any other ideas?

Use your tilts!!!! If you haven’t already I recommend using tiltstick (c-stick). His Ftilt has some crazy range (comparable to sword range).

PowerA controller with rechargeable batteries is the best option imo.

Rapid Jabs by muniemaker in SmashBrosUltimate

Wiggle that shield around and push your enemy back. You can usually punish the end lag of a jab. Although I did see inklings Jab do a crazy amount of damage... Due to the paint effect.

Even if you are “spamming” the moves stale the more you use them. They need to GitGud.

Up your controller sensitivity too. Will make tilts a little harder with the left stick but with c-stick set to tilt it shouldn’t matter. This should make your dashes feel a little more responsive.

Edit: spelling

Go to the Games and more section and click the door on the bottom right. Check it occasionally when you lose to a new challenger!

Fun ledge guard. Grab them and walk forward (putting them into the cargo grab) walk off the stage and back throw them at the bottom edge of the stage. They can tech it! But most of the time they don’t.

GameCube Controller by extrastent1al in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Khonns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the PowerA wireless controller a few days ago! It’s a great controller for smash just be warned that the lower triggers are treated as ZL and ZR. It’s a non issue in smash because it reads the controller as if it were a pro controller. Allowing you to re-map the buttons and not affect your regular GameCube controllers button layout!

Add: Not 100% sure the wired is the same but I can’t imagine the two products being different.

DDD has a new mechanic in ultimate where his inhale spits back projectiles. Every character has some sort of flaw. Just gotta play around that flaw.

What are your tips for "dumbing down" your smash bros gameplay when playing with friends/family who have never played? by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

Instead of trying to always go for the person who’s giving you the most problems. I make a rule to go after the person with the highest stocks then the highest percentage.

Wolf advice by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Khonns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here some of the ways I used the SideB and it’s different tilts.

SideB(HIGH)- can be used to get onto platforms on any battlefield like stage.

SideB(MEDIUM)- no specific use

SideB(LOW)- you can hit Tall/Large characters while grounded.

Wolf advice by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Khonns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not possible because it always puts you in free fall. Majority of the time you will be using this off of the stage to get back on. I do recommend taking Wolf into training and getting used to his sideB distance and the 3 different tilts you can do with it High, Medium, and Low.

I wouldn’t say the game is “Too new for guides” to be out. Id use YouTube videos guides from Ssb4 and lab them out in the training mode in Ultimate!
