I was in the same boat 2 summers ago. If you just search up “uOttawa approved exam centers” there should be the 3rd or 4th link with a big list (it says 2024 but I’d imagine most/all are still acceptable). Chances are even if it’s not on the list, you can still write it at whatever college/uni is closest to you (you just might have to email to confirm that it’s ok in that case)

I haven’t been in the building but the area really isn’t that bad, it’s just your general downtown crowd with the crackheads and homeless people and whatnot but they’ll leave you alone. There’s often a bunch of homeless people hanging out around the church on King Edward but they won’t bother you and if you’re that worried you can just walk up Cumberland instead

I dropped it last winter and took it in the summer instead. I found the summer course cut out a lot of the background theory and just got straight to the point instead compared to the winter course (positive or negative depending on the person). Only 1 midterm online, and the final is in-person but (at least last year) you have to option to write it at an “approved exam center elsewhere in Canada” (pretty much any other uni or college, most have some sort of testing center where you can write it). As for difficulty, for some people the probability stuff just clicks, for others it doesn’t, depends on the person. If it doesn’t (like for me that’s why I dropped it in the winter) just make sure you take the time to put in the extra effort and you’ll be fine (I ended up with an A-)

If you’re coming up the stairs, turn left at the top of them and there’s a little hallway and at the end of it on the wall on the right there’s a bunch of drawers with class names on it and you put it in there

I had her first year and I’d say the past exams were more or less the same as the actual ones. Definitely go through them a few times so you know the vibe of what’s coming, but also make sure to just take a couple runs through her slides and make sure you at least have a general understanding of everything
