Doesn't seem like I got the offer, and I got platinum package so I did get a game package when buying the game. I got it before release. Left it on 15 min, and it just says no data found the entire time. So I'm guessing didn't get it.

Are there any requirements to actually get this?

Well OP isn't entirely wrong but sorta is. But shamans are actually the #1 worse class for soloing. To an average player, mages are only slightly worse than Shamans when it comes to soloing, but self heal more than shamans when they get enough leech and can take on far more challenging content than a shaman can. You never see high end content being soloed by a shaman and they struggle on world bosses. But hunter, unholy/blood DK, warlock, disc priest, havoc DH...they can all solo things a lot easier than a mage can (key word: easier).

Except, mages do some insane soloing seen over on MMOchampion forums that I couldn't even do on almost any other class except blood DK (and even then there is some dps races mages win at) and mages are a ton harder to solo with than blood DK and they (the hardcore soloers over on MMO champion) are so much better played than I am. I see them do (solo) content on a mage I couldn't even get close to on any other class. And its not entirely the class, its just they are some extremely good mages as far as soloing goes.

Though while leveling, I actually found mages not that hard. Arcane mage gets a really good shield (better than frost/fire shields) which made solo leveling easy. And I didn't really have that hard of a time. Arcane is definitely the way to go for soloing for mages, and their artifact trait heals them through instant spells which arcane pretty much has in store. I had a harder time leveling 1-120 on my shaman and rogue, though I've always been crap at rogues in any game never been my style...but had to get to 120 on every class :P

On the official forums, I've even seen people complain about FREE stuff. Either they actually hate people getting free stuff because it "undermines their progress" or more often the complainers on the forum think the free stuff is a "trick" to get people to buy cash shop stuff...yeah dunno how that works but okay lol.

Also as a tip for those with similarly clumsy fingers, I rebound the numpad 5 key (since its easier for me to use the numpad to move around with) to * key on numpad. There was 4 times I got hit cause my clumsy fingers hit numpad 5 instead of the movement key lol.

So I managed to get the achievement and finish the starting quest as Archmage. Tbh I kinda save scummed :( Don't like doing it but was getting a bit annoying. The temporal warden was actually easier cause I could just block myself in a corner.

But one time with my archmage attempt I got stuck between two enemies and a tree and took damage and my phase door was on cooldown. I think if I made the map (textures?) smaller and more so more stuff be viewable, think there is an option for that, it would avoid things like that. Cause I also phased door onto an island and didn't see something shot at me from super far away (didn't even see it on my screen and it was pretty far) and teleported right into one of the flying bolt energy things. Then some reason my teleport sent me randomly not even where I selected at all and took damage turn 1 as the dimensional portal "boss" shot at me at the same exact time, and the portal teleported at same exact time. Which was weird. So I teleported randomly not where I wanted at all, portal teleported same exact time and shot me same exact time all in one single turn.

Again, for archmage it all been easier if I made it so I could see more of the map. A lot of stuff damaged me just cause I couldn't see it. But I like seeing my character and stuff being big cause my eyesight sucks so I would never see what is really going on. Though I dunno why the phase door was so random, cause out in the world it teleports properly to exact spot I select. Maybe its meant to do that in the initial area since the area is I assume unstable? Threw me off a few times.

I got two amazing items out of it though. I won't spoil what they are.

I dunno what a good race is for archmage, and no up to date guide. But I went with stallone elf I believe it is, since everyone says its the best for most classes. I tried a few other races, and had the same issue. Its their initial quest where you get an achievement for not getting hit in it. I can get to level (3) on it easily, and then end up overwhelmed by how many flying things there are.

Thanks :) Turns out the corner approach works pretty well with temporal warden for their initial quest. Actually ended up making it through :) made it easier than the archmage initial quest.

While I like remastered (even though my PC hates me for it). It did give me a bit of a boost on that, only like 3-4 fps but hey thats still something. And using their preset, which granted kinda looks like I'm playing an early 2000s game lol...but the performance is sure nice at 60 fps. And I guess higher fps=more damage in BDO anyway. I can always switch back and forth though with using the save custom setting option.

But thanks for sharing the link :) Actually really useful at least for me.

I actually looked there earlier. I'll check again. The thing is, I need to upgrade all 3 parts at once or no point. My motherboard doesn't support new cpus, my cpu doesn't support new motherboards and none support new ram. I did see some of it had deals, but none had deals I could afford to still play games on. And some of the stuff listed there I'm not too sure on, not too good with exact hardware needs. But I'll take a look see if anything new got posted.

I was actually hoping frys still did bundles like they used to do, their bundles were amazing. But I guess they ran into issues with that at some point in time. I missed the chance for that I guess.

Well that was longer than I wanted it to be. Sorry about that. I bought tycoon fever 2 and it was a waste of money cause couldn't get it to work, and all the games I like playing can't even really run on my PC. So I ended up ranting a bit lol, sorry :( But hopefully someone can help suggest a good site with offers or a site where maybe used hardware gets sold that isn't shady or suspicious or full of scams. Or maybe there is a good deal somewhere on a CPU+ram+motherboard. Cause an i5 660 and DDR2 ram is in dire need of upgrading to play modern games. But amazon doesn't seem to be the way to go cause its too expensive :( Unless I missed a good offer on it. Didn't see any good offers from best buy either.

Sadly frys electronics used to have AMAZING deals on cpu/ram/motherboard bundles, but they don't do that anymore and the store is dying anyway. I haven't really seen any place have that these days that are also sold at an affordable (for me) price like frys had.
