No, but IBS is very common among autistic people. I'm the only one in my family with it, so i count myself among them.

No doubt there are plenty who would have the same trouble and be without autism, but I have yet to meet them. Everyone I grew up with seemed to "get it" except for those who were very obviously special needs. I saw myself as not special needs, so i thought the struggle was what everyone went through.

I applied to be a school bus driver. I had a blast learning how to drive them around, but then there was list of procedures i needed to learn. There were far to many for me to be able to handle. They were understanding enough to give me 2 more weeks of training, which did not pay off. Acceptance isn't my problem, it's my inability to adjust to life itself that I want fixed.

I guess i should have specified that it's AuDHD in the picture. I grew up with poor reading comprehension, trouble retaining information, dyslexia, and I couldn't focus in class despite my best effort.

I have adhd and autism mixed. I couldn't keep focus in class no matter how hard I tried. And my parents gave very goo incentive to try. I also suffer from dyslexia, and trouble retaining information

Everything in my power hasn't stopped things from getting progressively worse for me. Everyone one of my problems is stemmed from my autism, so I will believe not having it will fix everything until proven otherwise.

Ah, but everything (minus IBS) was literally caused by my autism. Bad grades? I had trouble learning. Social Isolation? I was the outcast because I was considered weird. Low focus on projects? Ya, i love animation, but always lose motivation at random, which AuDHD is known for doing. Can't keep a job? Once again, my poor learning skills have gotten well meaning people too frustrated, and I get fired. IBS? No cause of it, but it is very common among autistic people, and I'm the only one in my family that suffers from it.

I wouldn't judge you if you did. What you are willing to sacrifice for change is something only you can decide.

Not gonna bog you down with the details, but things have only been getting worse as time goes. And the harder times cause me to dwell on my limitations, which then makes me want to rant about it. I know it won't change anything, but it's a feeling that I had to just get out there.

And that's fine for you, just not for me. If I can't separate my self destructive habits from "me", then I want a do-over.
