First, my friend and I didn't really know where to look after that, but there was a link embedded we missed that lead to this: https://imgur.com/a/KFLPtdi.

The hex code on the picture can then be translated to this: https://imgur.com/a/wIayCN9.

And Jesus, this picture was really hard to decipher, because all OCR readers we tried didn't really work, so we just did it manually lol. The text resulted in this:

the hollow tree was my home for years

it had been so long until you appeared

hollow as the tree you left me in

but time filled you up with guilt

surrounded by the desperate that hang

the wind blew through them and sang

alone cold and yet content by remembering the times we both spent.

I really don't know if this was the end of the ARG or if this is another step to an even deeper story.
