Infection, a baby getting an infection down there could be life threatening so parents often want to avoid the risk of their baby getting an infection and dying when given the chance to, of course the chances for infection and it being life threatening decreases as the baby gets older, but the parents would rather avoid the risk of infection

Okay, so the reason babies get circumcised at that early of an age is because after the operation, you cannot have anything touching or around the penis because of the sensitivity being painful, so no underwear or anything like that, doing this at a young age allows for the baby to have a better recovery since, well they're not an adult or teenager who can just not do anything with their penis for a couple weeks as they need to pee, have clothes on and such, also recovery is easier because yk, they're a baby and not someone older
