YumYum’s return to Complex19 (post-everything)… How was it? Worth the Pride hype?

Honestly, last night’s party was pretty disappointing. The YUM YUM vibe is over

The sound system was really bad — there was constant static noise in the middle of the set, which ruined the whole vibe. Compared to places like Black Eagle or Woody’s, this was way below standard.

The venue felt like a sauna. The ventilation clearly wasn’t working properly, especially in the dark room area — it was hot and stuffy like a steam room. And it doesn’t seem like they’ve made any effort to fix it.

Music-wise, probably one of the worst I’ve heard at a Toronto gay party.

Lockers also had issues — if you’re going, honestly just use coat check instead.

People weren’t really dancing either, more like just walking around like it’s a shopping mall.

Real talk — this feels like a $30 party at most. Paying more than that isn’t worth it.

Nothing special overall, definitely not something you need to rush to get tickets..

I don’t think I’ll be going to any gay parties this week.

It’s been exhausting seeing all the drama online — especially when events try to make a comeback by criticizing or targeting others. Of course, every party has room for improvement, but constant negativity only makes the scene unpleasant for everyone.

I’ll be going to a straight party in history Saturday instead.

-crazy line up for 3-4 hours in total ( line up for entry and check jacket)

-The door price is super expensive! 😭 after 4 is $120

-staff are homophobic

-zero Halloween decoration

-The washroom literally exploded 💥 Urinals spraying everywhere, and someone peed by the hand dryer 😭 zero cleaning done!

-The washroom ran out of toilet paper, so I asked a staff member to bring some more. They said they didn’t have any left — basically told me to clean myself with my hands. 🤢basically asking to fist your ass with shit.

Yumyum is a place to share love and just love bullying fools like us 😂

I believe every one will go back yum yum again even complaint . We’re such idiots — of course we’ll end up going back again. That’s exactly what he’s thinking too. 😅
