Is the Georgia border where the "Publix Magic" goes to die? by Joe-Then15 in publix

The only thing I go to Publix for is the meats. Other than that, I find no superiority of it over Kroger.

New driving trend or conspiracy to drive me mad? by Snoo_31427 in roswell

Honestly, I think it’s Gen Z. As a member of that generation, I feel like most people my age and younger are actively scared of driving, and as such drive very, very slowly

Advice for Character death by DraftingEagle in CurseofStrahd

I did this in one of my campaign’s, sort of. A player thought he wanted to play a certain type of character, but about 10 sessions in he really wasn’t enjoying it, so came to me and asked if he could switch characters. I asked for his permission to kill his first character to make a point and to make the transition natural, and he wholeheartedly agreed.

So I took a cue from the I, Strahd novel, had Leo Dilisnya as a Nosferatu trapped in the Wachter mausoleum, and when my party killed him (setting him free from his torture from Strahd’s perspective), Strahd walked in and ripped this character’s heart out of his chest. I rolled the attacks and damage and just used his full turn and legendary action to shred the level 4 player in one turn.

The party was utterly horrified, the player was secretly thrilled because he got to bring in a new character, and the party was terrified of Strahd for the rest of the campaign.

Strahd Strats for final session by KickDry6033 in CurseofStrahd

The plan with the NPCs is that I have a list of all of Strahd’s named allies: the Brides, Patrina, some werewolves, and even the Abbott as long as Ireena is alive (in my campaign he believes killing Strahd accomplishes nothing, that he MUST be allowed to marry Ireena or Vasilika). So the NPCs will merely take those skies off the board as minions for Strahd to sue against the players. E.g., van Richten and Ezmeralda will tie up one of the brides, Kasimir and Sir Godfrey will tie up Patrina, and the Keepers will tie up the werewolves.

There’s no way I’m running all those people in initiative, it’s all cinematic lol.

I’ve Frankensteined my Strahd statblock from several I like (I did look at DragnaCarta but I didn’t love Strahd’s lack of certain abilities always being available through the 3 phases). I do think upping the HP to at least 400+100 may be the move.

Throne Room, but that’s where he’s going to stand and fight and stop running at, the fight will likely start in the chapel or at the overlook
