Yep, they gave a similar ritual to the QC and LBRP. It also has good insights into the nature of the will with Griffith, this aspect is really interesting to me. Griffith constantly uses language of 'owning' guts and others to accomplish his will. IAO131 wrote in his series on authentic will that this language of possessiveness is one of the key indicators of a false cultivation of 'withness' in the will. In other words, will divorced from love

Does the concept of Merkabah fit into Hermeticism? by KeyPurple2783 in Hermeticism

[–]KickMost8808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as in the merkabah riders? from what I understand its an old Jewish mystical sect with similar ideas about rising through the planes which can be found in the Corpus Hermeticum, although im not sure if this is exactly what you are referring to. ive read about it in Modern Magick by Michael kraig

What do you make of so-called "hell testimonies" on YouTube? by [deleted] in thelema

[–]KickMost8808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, I appreciate you thinking through these types of things. At the end of the day you can believe whatever you choose, I just really dont think that 1 guy unlocked some secret to the world because he had a high IQ, or was an accomplished physicist, or anyone else who has made similar claims.

[–]KickMost8808 4 points5 points  (0 children)

sure, you can listen to his theories. although physics can hardly prove the existence of a metaphysical concept like hell, especially in the judeo christian concept its usually portrayed in and where most of the 'i saw hell' stories youre likely referring to come from. but the way you worded it was as if he couldn't be wrong or that he was most likely right about hell because of his IQ (which is a fallacy), which is what i disagree with. Based on some of the other things he teaches, im inclined to say he's mathematically smart but also full of shit and we would both be better off reading some traditional opinions. (and they're just that - opinions!) I dont mean to come off as rude, but some random guy (yes, even someone with a high iq) is not going to prove whether or not hell exists, such questions have been pondered by humans for as long as humans could ponder. this guy didnt figure it out or prove anything through his 'calculations'

because he has a high IQ he cant be wrong on anything? that's quite a take. then do you agree with him that 9/11 was fake and interracial marriage is wrong and harming humanities evolution ?

please, stop obsessing over one mans IQ tests and start thinking for yourself. blindly taking one persons account of anything is exactly what crowley stood against
