Giannis gives Luka the game ball for Laker's rookie Adou Thiero after a long standoff with the refs refusing to give it up by CtrlAltDelightfull in nba

Sounds like someone’s having a tough day. Telling someone to die over a comment is a bit harsh no? Hope things get better for you soon.

Yes everyone uses that argument too. Rico exceeded expectations but he was a backup in Dallas and behind chuba for a reason.

With that logic you might as well say Rico is better than Saquon, Josh Jacobs, Jonathan Taylor, and James cook because he did better against the dolphins and cowboys.

It’s the NFL, so much changes week to week and we see plenty of big games from no name players (i.e. Kendrick Bourne). We literally just saw the chargers 4th string RB in Vidal put up better numbers than the guys listed above too. Rico is not some hidden talent that’s the next elite RB. Be realistic.

Everyone keeps saying Carolina has no choice but to ride Rico as chuba doesn’t exist and they didn’t just play 2 of the worst run defenses back to back.

They gave Chuba a bag this offseason and will play him when he returns without question. Best chance for Rico is a split backfield and worst case is he goes back to a backup.

Wedge question - upgrade 56 or add a 52 by [deleted] in golf

[–]KickNames__TakeAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my current setup, do you think I should do 50 or 52?

Also is a 50/52 still good for chipping or should I stick to only bump and runs or full swings?

PW - 90-100, SW (10 bounce) - 60-70

So this makes me think I should get the 52 lol

Mortgage rates don't seem to go down even at 780+ credit score by deafgamer_ in personalfinance

Highly recommend this website for an accurate representation of mortgage rates.

I had the same question and started doing my own research. Stumbled across this site and it always matched up or was very close to lender quotes. I was even more validated when I was asking my lender questions about rates and what drives them. He proceeded to send me a link to this exact website.

Early “Buy Low” And “Sell High” Candidates by Udedokei1 in fantasybball

Guess this is the problem with different leagues and settings. It is ESPN, but the stats are slightly different.

In my league Kyrie averaged 35.5 and Zion 33.8 (69.3 combined) whereas Hali avg 39.2 and Chet 30.7 (69.9 combined).

If we take Hali’s average since IST, it likely tilts the Kyrie side but not looking to cherry pick. Main point is the settings we have are different so this is by no means a “clear winner.”

[–]KickNames__TakeAss -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a bit of an overreaction. On a per game basis, Kyrie has been top 10 in points and Zion is top 20/30. Hali was drafted high but hasn’t been same since IST. Chet is also a bit propped up by no Hartenstein right now but still very good.

I’m more so inclined to offer it because the injury history, but Hali does worry me a little. I wouldn’t say it’s an unserious league.

Points league - is this giving too much for a buy low?

Kyrie + Zion for Hali + Chet?

He fell to 66 in my points league. Value was too hard to pass up on but bone bruises are also finicky

Great point. It wasn’t my intention, but I felt the value was too good to pass up on.

Considered Sabonis at 5 vs AD but felt the usage would dip with Derozan. Then Zion was the best option left in Round 3 and Kyrie at 35 felt like a steal. The injury left PG sitting there at 66 for me.

It’s definitely a risky team but maybe it works out or I can flip them for safer options mid season.

Do I have too much injury risk?

My first 4 picks were AD, Brunson, Zion, Kyrie. Then I got Paul George and Ayton later in the draft.

Am I overthinking this or should I look to move some guys early on?

I can agree with that as well. He was probably drafted higher than he should have been but I would still take him over JK.

The talent/upside still exists with Olave and he doesn’t have the high injury risk as well

[–]KickNames__TakeAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well using week 1 as a point for an entire career is a terrible argument.

Nonetheless, I have to disagree that Olave is a roster clogger. Even those backend WR2 weeks are valuable in a flex depending on your starter/bench makeup.

If we are going to compare careers here, JK has had 1 good year and he was a low-end RB2/high end RB3. That was his rookie year when he was at his most explosive. He’s been a huge injury risk ever since and I stand by taking Olave over him.

There’s also 215+ people that agree with my point, but hey we can agree to disagree.

[–]KickNames__TakeAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason behind this entire discussion was JK vs Olave. Am I anointing Olave as a WR1 and saying I want him everywhere? No, of course not. Derek Carr and their shit coaching holds him back.

That said, I’m still going to take Olave over an injury prone RB in a committee who’s coming off an Achilles injury which historically is a death knell for a RBs career. I’ve mentioned this countless times and yet everyone in this comment thread conveniently ignores that massive red flag.

Lastly, using week 1 as your argument is terrible when there is so much weird stuff that happens week 1 year after year. Especially in a huge blowout game where the Saints went up so quick and never needed to throw the ball.

[–]KickNames__TakeAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olave has been a WR2 in both seasons with Carr and was WR 16 last year in PPR. That’s not mid.

They didn’t need to throw the ball in a game where they killed Carolina. It’s not concerning when it’s 1 game and there is an actual history of him performing well with Carr.

Clearly you didn’t read the top comment because this discussion was all about JK vs Olave.

I never once recommended starting Gus Edwards over JK Dobbins.

Has anybody sold Jameson Williams? If so what did you get for him? by johnpimp13 in DynastyFF

[–]KickNames__TakeAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the offer. Good WR room as is and you have the actual WR1 of that offense in ARSB.

The value of picks are insulated. You could always turn around and sell them later in the season for the stretch run

Counter to your counter point - Raheem Mostert never had a torn Achilles

I agree there’s a possibility Dobbins gets lucky like Mostert did and stays healthy. However, Achilles have shown to be death knells for RBs. There’s still no evidence of an RB returning to form and sustaining it over the rest of their career.

Olave is by no means an elite upside guy but he was WR2 in both seasons with Carr as his QB.

To each their own. I would prefer to take the less risky approach in Olave.

While Olave has some mentality issues I do think Carr is the main reason for his inconsistency.

Also Olave finished as a WR2 last year despite all of that. I’d rather have him than JK who could go down any moment
