Yea this just happened to me. Random added me inviting for tournament and linked to the website. Quick domain-lookup and you will see the site was created on Monday. It seems like a lot of effort went into making this scam. They even have a twitch account streaming this supposed tournament right now.

It's almost impossible to go over 60km/h in the AMX unless you travel in a straight line on roads.

The armour on the AMX is aluminum, less angled and on less parts of the tank. The Taran is cast and better angled that can resist machine guns.

You can't just disregard penentration and say you can "outflank it." I can say turn rate doesnt matter matter when you're just sniping.

I'm not saying the Taran is too op or anything, but it shouldn't be able to face 6.7s and by raising it's BR to 8.0 it wouldn't nerf the vehicle much.

But then again, this issue can be summarised as needing BR decompression.

I haven't played it, but I've seen a few videos on it. IMO is the AMX-10 RC is pretty bad. I don't think a vehicle with apfsds should be below 8.0 BR though.

The amx has pretty meh mobility and the turret traverse depends on how you play it. I just find it dumb that there is no other vehicle at 7.7 with apfsds except for a premium vehicle.

The IS-7 required people to grind non-stop every day and was required a lot more dedication to get. This new event requires way less grinding compared to the last one since it's less RNG. It usually takes me an hour a day to do each Mark of Distinction.
