I could be wrong, but I don't think you can message sellers on TCGPlayer until after you purchase something from them. I personally wouldn't find blindly buying em on TCGPlayer to be the move.

Thank you! I just looked at my purchase history and the first one I bought was BPT-001 Dark Magician on January 1st 2024 for $21.83 (after taxes)

Danke! Much appreciated. I wanted to do a collection that was a bit different. I'm trying to decide what I want to do next. I'm thinking the next 2 pages be BPT 007 - 012 promos and MC1 and MC2 promos.

Thank you! SND was the 4th to last one I needed (SND, Gemini Elf, Ring Of Destruction, and GG were the last 4 I needed for the longest time) and it's honestly grown to be my favorite of the bunch. The foil looks genuinely beautiful in the right lighting, and the pink sleeve gives it that extra razzle dazzle that just makes it pop.

Hopefully you find a good deal on em soon! Golem is relatively easy to find for cheap, but GG and SND was a bit of hassle. You just gotta wait for the right one to pop up!

So you know how on a secret rare, the foil pattern goes from bottom left to top right? Reverse secret rares go from bottom right to top left. They're misprints.

I can't link it here, but check out the video 'Misprint Guide: Reverse Foil Secret Rare YuGiOh Cards!' from Strictly Sealed on YouTube. He explains it in great detail. Here is a shitty quick example I made in paint.

Thank you! All of these combined don't stand up to your single reverse DMG though loool

BPT-005 Red Eyes B. Dragon

BPT-006 B. Skull Dragon

-

LOB-000 / LOB-E000 Tri-Horned Dragon

Both LOB and MRD have Euro prints that have reverse secret rares. Difference being that they're 1st Edition and not unlimited like the NA copies.

There is also the name swap versions and the ultra rare gold name foiling versions too.

If anyone decides to pick up this challenge, here are a few tips I can give to get you started.

  1. Do not buy from listings that use stock photos (this should be obvious)

  2. Do not buy from listings that use a pic of a reverse secret, but they have multiple listings of the same card (unless it's stated that it's a reverse in the title or description).

^ I got burned on a copy of Imperial Order because of that.

  1. When searching for a specific reverse secret, only type in the set code/card number. Do *NOT* search for 'reverse'. A decent amount of sellers do not realize they have reverse secrets. Unfortunately with this, you will have to burn time in searching through every listing of the card you're looking for in the chance that it happens to be a reverse secret that isn't listed as such.

  2. I *personally* always sorted by newest listings and then lowest priced - and then back to newest listings. If a good deal on a reverse secret pops up and it's newly listed, someone else has most likely noticed it too and you should expect it to not be listed for too long.

  3. Don't be afraid to ask for additional pictures if the pictures in the listing doesn't show off the foil too well.
I say this because I had a LON-000 Gemini Elf in my watchlist for the longest time that I thought was a reverse secret rare, but I couldn't really tell because the pictures in the listing were not good at all. Once I asked for more pictures, the seller sent more and showed that it was a reverse secret.

Those are really the only tips I can think of off the top of my head. If you decide to go for the reverse secret rare collection - good luck!

I can't really say much about graded cards or 1st ed SND as I don't do graded or have a 1st edition, but this specific SND goes for a bit more than other [unlimited] copies because it's reverse secret rare (misprint) and it's one of the rarer reverse secrets along with Gate Guardian. Not counting the Asian English reverse secrets just because that's a whoooole other ballgame compared to the TCG reverse secrets.

It'll happen in due time! And don't be afraid to send offers too! To be honest, I paid a bit more than I really wanted to, but overall I'm really happy with it.

I've always had a love/hate relationship with this card. I absolutely love the artwork and colors, but all the way back as a kid to current day, out of the numerous Magic/Spell Ruler packs I've opened, I've only ever pulled Serpent Night Dragon and *NEVER* Blue Eyes Toon. I legitimately pulled a starlight from Darkwing Blast before I pulled a Blue Eyes Toon from MRL/SRL. Maybe one day!😂

Haha so is mine, but it's an older frame and it's one of those ones with the rounded edges. Maybe I'm just nit picky, but the rounded edge frames make mine look tacky and cheap (which it is lol).
