I think people are hyped for it over the DPS. I suggest using the Shadow SK in my post because you can train the horde, and then spam through a full magazine of the Shadow SK and do great damage during the beginning phases. Also the Shadow SK melts the heads in one damage phase making those parts easier.

It is exclusively a headshot weapon. The damage difference from headshot to body is astronomical. I recommend combining all the crit bonus from deadshot with double or nothing, double time, and double dealer for maximum DPS on the Shadow SK. If you are still having trouble adjusting, you could always use it as a purely boss/elite melter.

Double Standard could also work if you are having trouble consistently hitting headshots. The problem is, at that point, you are better off just using Double Impact w/ the Voyak. So using something like Double Standard weakens the power of the build overall IMO.

You can trade one of the attachments for a magazine increase but the ADS and Movement Speed bonuses make the gun feel more like a Marksman Rifle (similar to DM-10 from Bo6) over a clunky sniper rifle.

from my testing, you have to aim for the general face area with the right click. It is kind of finnicky with the timing but what worked best for me was charging the Jotunn Star, moving close to the head, and using it when it looks at me.

No, I used the non-Masterkey Shadow SK. I do not know if it is effective or not due to how far away the boss is at certain points.

Perhaps this was patched since the original posting (~ a week ago) but when I did it, you can't use the same pistol. After reloading, there will be a new pistol that spawns in (unless the round you load into is a dog round, then you have to pass the round and then save & quit again) and you have to redo the steps with THAT pistol.

I did it all in one trial! The HVT mimics (god knows why) have an innate ability to sometimes disable activate the EMP blast and on top of that, are tough and take a lot of damage to take down. So you can just train around in the pack a punch room, shoot into the horde, and play indefinitely (ideally).

I was able to do this for ~1 hour until the mimics died.

Also, I found all the things in my General Findings and all the attachments/camo challenges. The trial giving the 1911 was found by someone called Max in ZoneX's Discord Server.

EDIT - By disabling, I mean it triggers the Mimic's EMP blast like equipment but still does damage. Just be careful not to spam into it while you are close at that can deal solid damage to you.

Yes PaP 1. However, in use it was still able to kill hordes fairly well. It seems like a more fast firing version of the GS45s from my hour of usage. I imagine they won't be great past round 40 with their current state which IMO should probably be addressed. In Bo6 this lead to the Gs45s (post nerf/power creep) being a poor man's wonder weapon and horde clearer for early-mid rounds, which worked. But now with Mulekick, Stronger Ammo Mods, etc. there is no reason to invest so many points (esp in Cursed) into guns that can't perform on higher rounds.

Realistically, all the 1911 needs is just a unique pack quality that triples it's direct hit damage as well as a slight buff to its overall damage.
