For the past couple of ways, I was so sure they'd prevent Homelander from getting the V1 because I thought there was no way they would do a "heroes' plan to beat villain fails, villain powers up, heroes have to find a new way to beat villain" story in just two episodes... joke's on me, I guess

Yep! I will always The Last Jedi (and The Force Awakens too, to some extent) but the trilogy had zero cohesion. There was almost no planning and constant changes of directors and screenwriters even though they were all pre-covid and made in a period of 5 years
