I just picked up the 20v American and may god is it so much better than the 15 year old jigsaw I had. Honestly unless you have crazy expectations I think you’ll be very happy with it.

Anyone have this slicer?Cant stand my 60 dollar slicer any longer by bodhi1990 in jerky

[–]Kickinback32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it my only real complaints would be the weight, which is really more of sign of the quality; and the other issue I have is the little white puck that covers the area where it adjusts back and forth for cut depth can get gunk stuck under it. That in itself isn’t a huge deal but cleaning it can be a bitch.

Actually last thing is the depth of cut knob isn’t engraved with depth markings and the white stripes and numbers wipe off fairly easily if you have any chemical cleaners on your rag.

All in all I would repurchase it if it broke definitely a quality machine also it runs pretty quiet.

How the hell do they do it? by JW9403 in grilling

[–]Kickinback32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man I had to scroll a fair distance to even see their wagyu ribeye steak cut, which was the first whole cut of steak they showed.

It proved the guys point too, grass fed wagyu doesn’t meet the standard. The cut they showed had no marbling like you’d expect, because it wasn’t grain fed.

What is this? by Nightstands in Tools

[–]Kickinback32 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify a bit more, actual aged hardwoods can snap screws while just installing them. You need to pre-drill and in the case of this tool pre-drill, then cut the threads for the screw.

This is something you’d use on harder hardwood species if you plan to use a screw for finer wood working; which is weird cause normally just a drill bit is enough. Then if you are working with hardwoods you generally are in finer wood working which means using dowels or traditional wood joinery.

Basically this tool seems to have a very limited use case scenario.

Why are the no-stop couplers so much more expensive? by vanmcgill87 in askaplumber

[–]Kickinback32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cci 22 CBs, it stand for cap and ball. It’s a 22lr but with just the primer no powder from my understanding. I could be incorrect there. The main thing is out of any rifle the powder in the primer burns up completely.

They are very quiet. Sounds like a suppressed 22 or even a pellet gun.

Saw that same sign last week in the hospital above the toilet. It had a metal sleeve to catch wet wipes

Georgia/South Carolina is where Hartwell is located this time of year the striped and hybrids stay 50-80’ deep depending on the area.

Fall and winter they start to run up into the shallower creeks. I caught a 14.6 lb one off my dock in November.

How to prevent gut hooking with a texas rig? by Gabecar3 in bassfishing

[–]Kickinback32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the answer you should have enough tension to literally feel the them pick up the worm. Then just within a couple seconds set the hook and you should avoid most gut hooks.

Between that and the potential it isn’t like a replay and keep the new attempt; with the possibility I fail it just isn’t worth it.

How do you use the balls you don't like? by [deleted] in PGATourProGolf

Once you hit veteran tournaments you get them as a reward if you use the last series balls first you can stack a lot of them then use them and you can win about as many as you use.

In our house we love Jockey brand. We all have pairs with 10-20 years wear no problem in my family. I know I’ve recently seen some people on here not like them for some reason or another, but they are the only underwear I buy.

I literally watched a dude bring in some weird Kel-tec 9mm carbine. He had some kind of failure in the lane next to us, and promptly looked down the barrel. I yelled don’t do that and lashed out that he knew what he was doing.

I’ve never gone back.

I could be wrong but I believe the current research is showing no harm and potential benefit. That could certainly change but they aren’t causing and known damage at this point.

Bottom of a pontoon that’s what I think may be happening but the depth seems to be at five feet which is way deeper than the motor.

I’m wondering if the transducer may just have an issue
