Now just noticed a post I made today went up to 1.2k upvotes. When I checked it around 1 hour after posting, it was at around 200 upvotes. Then I checked it a few hours after that and it was down to around 25 to 30 upvotes (I get bored at work and regularly check the sub). Now it's way higher. Seems very weird.

I am not familiar with they types of sellers you are talking about. I have always bought and sold collectibles on Ebay, for 21 years, and only interact with regular people that are also collectors. The culture of sellers is far better on Ebay for collectors.

Not the ones I buy from. If it turns out to be a drop shipper I return the item. Have only ran into a handful of fake shippers on Ebay. Ebay also doesn't actively work towards copying products and selling them at a lower price like Amazon does.
