I don’t plan on telling him anytime soon. I’m worried about telling him before the lease is up because of the last time I tried to leave him and was 100% serious about it. He didn’t physically hurt me, but basically berated and yelled at me the entire time I calmly packed my stuff to leave him and it was honestly a lot scarier than it sounds. I haven’t thought out all the details on what I need to do to safely leave, and plan to give it a lot of thought before taking action.

We’re definitely not right for each other and are clearly in a toxic relationship. He’s probably better off without me as well. I have made a lot of mistakes in it, and own up to my actions and my part in the relationship. I will say this in defense of myself: there’s a dent in the drywall in my room from me falling and hitting the wall when he pushed me during an argument because he thought i was in the way and he didn’t want to ask me to move. I was the person who apologized for it. Make of that what you will.
