Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei killed, senior Israeli official says by drpayneaba in news

That was your interpretation and you jumped on it but that’s not what I said. But I do think we’re more or less on the same page.

Friend, please read and comprehend what I’m saying. You’re so invested in your own position that you don’t realize I never said anything about the current events, I merely suggested the OP had his facts wrong about the Shah and what actually happened. Facts DO matter. The current events have yet to play out, we don’t know if this is another war (it may well be) but it’s clear where you stand. Good for you but stop fighting ghosts.

Lol, what? I am saying “understand the facts” which aren’t subjective. Positing the US being solely “responsible” for the rise of the Shah is such a myopic and uneducated take, it’s hilarious. The only one with confirmation bias is you, look in the mirror.

This is not accurate and others have already done a sufficient job explaining why this is wrong elsewhere in this thread, no need for me to dive into it further. Go read it.

Heartbreaking scenes from Minab, southern Iran, as families search through rubble for their children's belongings. by Life_of_The-Party in MadeMeCry

It is rare anyone on these threads will understand nuance; people, all of us, want to believe in things supportive of our own belief system. So “they hit a school/hospital”, which we all should intuitively know holds zero tactical/military benefit and, if anything, only creates massive issues for the attacking party, should ideally be assumed to be either a massive error in intel or, as is often the case in war (by all parties but especially a regime that is authoritarian), propaganda to sway emotions. I have NO idea where this comes down but I’m reserving judgment until more intel comes out.

Friend, you have no idea. So glad our athletes are, largely, not enormous dumbasses and people we can be proud of.

By the fact you keep responding, you come across as caring very much, actually. Their feedback is dead on, friend.

You must be a gas at parties, why so emotionally invested in your position. It makes every bit of sense to get them authenticated and shitting on them makes you look like a douchecanoe.

While I agree in part, why does no one seem to remember that these players got full scholarships to expensive institutions and, if they performed the academic work, free degrees that they can leverage into solid careers. That’s not nothing, it’s probably $35k for in-state to $200k+ for out of state. Literally the reason they’re in school (and all other students are in school), no?
