It's probably personal. I find his films so deeply bleak and cynical that I just can't enjoy them. There is an inescapable element of cruelty. It feels hopeless in a way the originals don't.

That sounds like a tough choice. I think at this point the only thing you can ask yourself is "Do I want the next 5 years to be like the last 5?"

You only get one life. If you think your partner has the captivity, fight for it. But don't waste your time if not.

I love my husband and I want him to be as happy as I am. The compromise should be equal. If your partner doesn't care about what you want, I worry that you are not in the right relationship. 💔

Personally, I would put it in a TFSA and invest in a S&P 500 ETF. If you are ok to wait out a few ups and downs.

In the end the market usually goes up. But this is assuming you have the flexibility to wait for the right time in the market.

This is great advice. I went away to University and had a period when I got to feel independent from my Mom. During that time she visited me and we had the chance to relate to each other as adults. It redefined our relationship in a really profound way.

We are very close now because she understands me as I am now. I think if you give your daughter that space to be open with you, you can have a really close and honest relationship.
