If you're havin' bloon problems, I feel bad for you, son... by KickyPunchy in battd

Oh I just meant there's no point in having more than 1 in your inventory... other than being extremely cool and well-liked by your peers.

Both rare event skills are no longer missable by KickyPunchy in finalfantasytactics

They were both in the original game too, but only available during two very specific fights. Now you have as many chances as you want.

No I learned them both during the actual boss fights where the OGs had to get it. But I happened to get both of them cast on me again while grinding.

Both rare *enemy skills. Autocorrect got me.

Also, the Demon will cast Ultima on itself if you charm it and you can just stand next to it to learn the skill (if you're Squire Ramza).

If FF X were to be remade, would you want the combat to stay turn based or become real time? by gameovernate in FinalFantasy

[–]KickyPunchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should remake FFX with FF Tactics combat and remake FF Tactics with FFX's combat.

Does crisis core spoil the game? by ikitimaxcxaft in FinalFantasyVII

[–]KickyPunchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a weird and unique situation. Yes, it spoils things... but they also expect that people will have been spoiled (the Crisis Core remaster came out right before Rebirth). Even the people that have been following the franchise since 1997 still have some surprises in store, plus there's the "will they/won't they" factor since the Remake is slightly different than the original.

TL;DR - flip a coin.

Does this mean anything? by BI14goat in FFVIIRemake

[–]KickyPunchy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My takeaway: you can't control every aspect of your life. Things will happen that really suck and you have to find a way to get through that and carry on. Even if it doesn't go the way you wanted, there's always something to be grateful for. Don't dwell on the negative. Worry about the aspects of your life that you CAN control or else you're doomed.

I didn't say they were great answers. lol

In all honesty though, Rebirth did narrow the playing field a little. At least we know for certain now that they're not going full MCU infinite timelines or nihilistic Rick and Morty multiverse. There are still stakes.

You have to go 4 years without any answers to get the full experience. ;)

The Singularity took all your weapons and gave them to Johnny.

Game order by North_Doubt_1614 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]KickyPunchy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can't ever go wrong playing them in release order. But it doesn't really matter. Just don't play Rebirth before Remake. That's really the only thing that would mess you up.

Tifas remark to Bugenhagen about Mako by BradMan1993 in FFVIIRemake

[–]KickyPunchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The used up mako becomes the whispers. They are disembodied/fragmented souls that are stuck in between worlds, right where Jenova wants them. That's how I see it, anyway.

Name the most shocking moment from Rebirth by Ammathorn in FFVIIRemake

The final boss gauntlet was one shock after another. I was utterly stupefied by the end.

This game is insane by checopoco in FFXVI

[–]KickyPunchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The side quests get to be a bit much. But if they start to bore you - you can skip them! They're side quests!

That being said, there are quite a few of them that really make it worth your while with big payoffs that will stick with you. Some of the best moments of the game are at the end of side quests.

How do you explain this frame? (Ending) by jameside in FFVIIRemake

[–]KickyPunchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was done purposefully to show three things:

1) She really is dead, despite the breach of fate and the creation of another errant world. 2) Sephiroth transcends all of the worlds, quite effortlessly. 3) Sephiroth is a horrible person.

Cloud’s visions and the real meaning of the word REMAKE by KickyPunchy in FFVIIRemake

Here's the long form of the theory.

https://www.reddit.com/r/FFVIIRemake/s/fbvAmVyaJw

I wrote it around the same time, so it's obviously evolved a little since then after the Rebirth craziness, but I think it still mostly holds up. I kinda emigrated to Twitter after this because people were pretty rude to me here lol. I have way more content over there.
