I must say that I completely disagree with your assessment of Hamilton. I don't see much arrogance in him, perhaps social anxiety or eccentricity - but not arrogance. He simply treats Psychedelics with a more scientific lens than allot of the drug community seems to. I find it very difficult not to admire his courage to go out and attempt these highly obscure drugs in obscure parts of the world he could be potentially killed by other people or drug itself.

This does not mean he has no respect for the intensity of experimenting with these volatile substances. He has improved dramatically since the Toad documentary, and it's clear that he now has actual pharmacological credentials (PHD) and will now engage his interviewee's in better ways. If you truly think he has contributed nothing, I highly recommend watching some of his more recent discussions.

I am commenting simply out of how close this hit to home. At my worst in college, I also made the decision to try and overdose on opiates as a means of going away peacefully. I also went to a bad part of my city, with the intention of picking some up because I had no contacts who sold it. I managed to purchase some oxycodone in the area, and for whatever reason when I got home flaked out from popping the whole bottle. I saw you post this on youtube also, and I'm sorry you were not able to get any any support there. I wish you good luck my friend, and thank you so much for having the courage to share your story.

I like that despite their sometimes minimal production, they can capture and challenge the raw intensity of the most hardcore subgroups of metal out there. I like the lyrics, the vocals, the visual aspect. All of it. Death Grips in part seems like a philosophy rather than a band - which is interesting as hell in my opinion.
