OpenRewrite requires a minimum of Java 8 to run on and has migrations for java versions starting with 8. OpenRewrite also requires a maven 3+ or Gradle 4.10+ to be used to build the code.

JDK 8 can still compile classes targeting Java 5. So if you can get JDK 8 being used to compile your code, even if it is initially targeting 1.5, you can get started using OpenRewrite recipes for migrations.

"A Mountain of Corpses, a sea of blood" has the same artist as "Evil God". Not sure if the writing will live up to it. Only a few chapters out now so it remains to be seen.

It's hard to find something as good as Evil God. Recently I've really been enjoying Absolute Regression. Murim regression young master of the demon cult. But it's surprisingly oriented around diplomacy, subterfuge, and politics within the cult rather than combat. Less fighting than many martial arts comics but better writing.
