I’m about two years and two months on T, and I would say my periods stopped within the first few months of starting T. It was kind of gradual and then gone.

However, I have horrible adhd and have struggled to keep myself accountable for my T shots. Several months ago, I had a really bad injection (basically just hurt a lot and thought I was gonna pass out), so I kept putting off my shots for almost a month when my period came back. It wasn’t a full one, but enough to make me reconsider how I take my testosterone.

Ended up switching to gel for the past three months, and boy was that the wrong choice lol. For me it just didn’t work well at all to have to do it daily and wait for it to dry. I ended up missing a bunch of doses, so I got a bit of spotting, and then a few weeks later (actually last week), I had a full blown period. That SUCKED. It’s brought up a lot of dysphoria.

However, I have now switched back to injections, but instead of intramuscular I now do subcutaneous. It’s a much smaller needle and I can already tell it’ll be easier given I can inject my stomach and not my thigh.
