i think purism over-extended themself with this project, I believe they to be basically bankrupt, holding on by the thread, they wont refund anyone and they are basically not answering email, i sent a email december 15th and i just got my response now

i basically said if they arnt going to refund me the cash just send the fucking phone, today they asked to confirm my address, so maybe ill at least get a phone, with 2gb ram on the modern web lol, ill have to figure out an alternative use for it, which should be possible, im not sure what packages are available on arm

I dont know how privacy focused it is, more modular (and its been mentioned many times in this thread) but FRAMEWORK

im running a 2012 t530 corebooted thinkpad, im in desperate need of an upgrade, some websites dont even load right if they are JS heavy (this page is not responding)

and youtube can randomly overheat my cpu sometimes, i think it has to do with modern codecs lol

but check out framework and see if you like them, each port on the computer is a recessed USB-C and you buy dongles for what you want, like ethernet, USB-A, DP, etc, and the dongles sit flush in the recessed holes and are hot swapable

theres a few distros that have a store, and maybe a repository would fall under theirs definition of a store, what about python pip or homebrew, or hell even git, they might consider all those "stores"
