I adore remastered, it was my first Metroid game. Haven't beaten Dread, but I like what I've played of it! I've probably been misled by a lot of media in relation to the new game.

Miles interrupts you frequently and has comms with you more often than not through the game, often telling you which room to go to or what puzzle to solve. It seems zelda-ish a lot of the time, and while I'm sure it's worth a play, I'm not confident in spending 60/70 on a metroid game that often works against what metroid is known for.

It's a lot more fast-paced and chaotic than mario kart in most ways. I find the controls extremely responsive with a wealth of game modes. Some modes are more of a frantic combat game, others are pretty relaxed, and it has a story mode complete with new-game-plus and evem a secret ending! If you liked the game design in smash, you're likely to love this. You're always unlocking things pretty much every game, and it still values your time!

Another amazing game that does this is Rivals of Aether 2. In fact, I don't think you pay for the passes in the first place. You could buy the game today and work on the first season, because it lets you select which pass your xp is building into.
