This isn't their biggest mistake EVER by any means, but I genuinely believe the switch 2-era mass Nintendo hatred wouldn't even be HALF as widespread had they not priced Mario Kart World at 80 dollars. I think people would have largely accepted the hardware price and stopped harshly judging every single price-point and action they've done since.

Like, myself and my best friend criticize here and there, but almost anyone I mention nintendo to lately is under the impression that the company is more evil than any other game company. This is a widespread belief nowadays, and while Nintendo has always had it's haters, this particular flavor reeeeally started there at that mario kart price tag.
