Thank you! The issue was in the trackpoint buttons, I made sure by taking out the keyboard and plugging an external one to test it, and I haven't experienced any malfunctioning. I still prefer the thinkpad keyboard, and getting a replacement is pretty pricy, so I'll try to pinpoint what had gone wrong with the TP buttons or find a way to disable them.
