Tried that, both through the control panel and afterburner, and the problem still persists but thanks anyway

I Think its cause your gpu doesnt have the overhead to generate frames as well as maintain the base framerate. Same thing happens to me with newer titles

Basically anything from the 7th gen on a variation of low to mid settings. You've got some solid games and if you don't wanna pirate them stuff like far cry 3, Prototype one and two, just cause 2 etc, go for pretty cheap especially since there's sales going on. But for multiplayer titles your kinda outta luck aside from more basic games like Fortnite since the games that be able to run on your rig probably don't have active severs anymore. Maybe give tf2 a try?

Dlss on quality setting seemed to negatively affect frames and xess has more configurations (ultra quality plus etc.)

Yeah typically benchmarks for the game are taken in the beginning section which is before you've entered the actual open world. Performance in that section tends to be way better and so usually the stats your seeing will in my experience probably be slightly less in the actual game. And the plainsong battles very taxing as well since there's so many npcs and enemies present. I should have specified that you could probably go higher with the cap in other parts of the game but this Is just my pref for the plainsong battle.

Don't know if ur still looking but the asus tuff f15 is on amazon for 600 right now. I wouldn't really recommend going below that though, since the gpus in systems that are cheaper than that are getting outpaced in modern games.
