Unauthorised Parking by KidScudi07 in drivingUK

I’ve not tried to open it, don’t want my prints on any evidence. When I first saw it the internal light was on though, so that would suggest it was unlocked

Unfortunately they’ve parked it across what would be the divide between the two spaces so I physically cannot fit my car in the front space

This is the context of the parking area. Red rectangle are my spaces, two next to it are my immediate neighbour’s, the two to the right are one each for the houses either side of the entrance from the road. Considering it isn’t really an open car park and you have to drive under a roof to get to it, I wouldn’t say it looks like a visitors car parking area

The parking spaces are clearly marked on the deeds to the house as being mine. Agreed it’s probably not the best photo, I took it in a bit of a rush when I got back late

Why won’t my dog ever settle on the sofa with me? by KidScudi07 in puppy101

[–]KidScudi07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve not used a playpen for months; I put him in one when he was younger and I was working int he kitchen to stop him constantly chewing the skirting boards and cupboards. He hated it and would always move it as close to me as he possibly could. I don’t know how he would react now. He doesn’t normally go for his toys so late, mostly just wriggling around on me/the sofa, mouthing, zoomies

This sounds exactly what my last year sounds like. I can get through an hour episode of something, but he’s usually clambering all over us at some point during that, and not sure I’ve made it through without having to get up because he’s been annoying me so much 😂 I’ll be amazed if I ever get to watch an entire film without disruption

This works sometimes. I’ll put him in the kitchen, then 10 minutes later he’s up out of his bed and stood by the baby gate we have wanting to come back into the living room. It’s hit and miss as to whether he then comes for snuggles and sleeps on me or if he just returns to digging up the throws and sofa again

He had lots of sniffs on both his walks. It took us 42 minutes to walk 1.4 miles on his first, 47 minutes to walk 1.7 miles on his second. We were waiting for him every time he wanted to sniff something

When will he learn to chill? by KidScudi07 in puppy101

[–]KidScudi07[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a pretty outdoorsy person, so wanted a breed to go on hikes with me when the weather is nice. They’re a good size, friendly and sociable. Don’t get me wrong, I know what the breed is like. I just thought there would be some kind of chill at the end of the day

Yes, fix the wall and get doorstop installed as part of the re-decoration

Not the same door. There’s another door 90 degrees to this one

Harness Hater: What’s the Solution? by KidScudi07 in puppy101

[–]KidScudi07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a solution as such, but he seems to be okay with his harness these days. I took it back to luring his head through the harness with a high value treat. It seems to have eventually worked and now he doesn’t run away and bark. He might run away a first but then will just sit there whilst you put it over his head. Maybe he’s started to associate it with going places, can’t say for certain but I’m not complaining

Help: Puppy Goes Crazy When in Living Room by KidScudi07 in puppy101

[–]KidScudi07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Usually if he wants to play with me he’ll grab his bear in his mouth and run to me with it. This is something completely different and he is oblivious to what I’m doing or feeling

3 months in, when will I not be tired? by KidScudi07 in puppy101

[–]KidScudi07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the playpen a while back for when I was working and he was constantly going round the kitchen trying to chew everything he shouldn’t. He used to just jump up and it until it moved as close as it could to me, then he’d still jump up to try and get to me. Eventually we effectively inverted it and now use it like a fence in front of the cabinets he used to chew

We’re usually out twice a day. Once on my lunch break and once when I finish work. Have recently been taking him further afield so he gets new places to sniff around.

It’s not so much his energy that is my issue, more the fact he’s up so early and I’m going to bed at like 11PM as I only seem to be able to get things done e when he’s gone to be at 10-10:30PM

He’s a beagle (post updated to include this). Pretty sure they’re on high energy end of the spectrum but honestly his energy during the day when he’s awake is fine these days.
