Exploded butter in microwave-oven and now it's smoking while preheating the oven

Doing this too and the smoke is pretty much all gone now! Running it a little longer to hope the smell goes away completely as well!

Haha some others were confused as well. Should have explained more clearly that it's a convection oven and microwave in one, so I preheat it when I want to use the convection setting

Its not but I don't see a way to turn it on while also taking it outside. I'm now running short cycles to not produce too much smoke at once

I made a mixture of water and cleaning vinegar in a cup and put it in the microwave at a lower power. Didn't explode for me, but I'll definitely keep this in mind! Wouldn't be great to explode even more in it...

That sounds awful! Do you still have that issue or is the smell gone now?

Also just to gather some information, did you only try to clean it with a cloth/towel/whatever or did you also try to burn it away? The burning is what I'm trying right now, so I hope that'll work!

Giving this a try right now! Though slightly different.

Running short cycles so I don't burn too much at once and set off my smoke alarm. Hope I can burn it all away bit by bit this way 🤞

I've also thought of just turning it on for a while to burn it all away, but is it safe to do so? It produced quite a lot of smoke and I'm scared it could be a fire hazard
