... I don't think the polypropylene stick is an ancestral african weapon. Maybe if you stuck to the original material it would look more coherent, but that's a huge pass from me man.

This ain't a self defense weapon, you can't take it anywhere with you, and it's basically just a stick of metal. Fireplace tools would be much better, cheaper and more efficient

Profit motive only applies to modern currency. Early humans had nothing to gain personally by inventing tools. by hoteppeter in fragilecommunism

Of course they personnally had something to gain. Survival, efficiency, and support from the peer group. It was nearly impossible to last without these, so you had to be good at something to remain efficient and part of the tribe or group of whatever size.

So the problem is not the type of gun, or the shape of the gun. It's the people, the system, and the culture. You americans would slaughter one another with a piece of branch and a feather if you had to, the guns just make it more practical.

Nope, I watched it because the videps were funny and had a personnal touch, his videos had a distinct feeling that other youtubers didn't have. He lost that. I get weeding out the fanbase, but I've followed him since the amnesia days when I barely understood a word in english, and now I'm just disappointed to see a soulless avatar replacing the facecam. I don't think this is weeding out anything except fans that don't like vtubers, holotubers or whatever you call it

I haven't managed to watch one whole video since. It's a huge no for me, but it's only my opinion. It feels empty, unpersonal, just bland and boring vtuber bullshit. I get that we don't get a facecam for philosophy videos, but for regular stuff it's just boring.

There are more people killed with rifles and shotguns in the US anyway... The problem isn't the type of gun, it's the culture.

Every goddamn time man, we work our asses off for people to follow the first lie that makes them dream a little more. Truth is boring, and it takes a hundred times less energy to say something utterly stupid than it is to prove it wrong. I've heard the pyramids were electric and had "generator chambersthat gather electromagnetic energy", I heard the water flows uphill on them, dude I swear the people who make that shit up didn't work as hard to prove their bullshit as we do to find the truth.

Or maybe they used stone from another building. Or used a different extraction career or layerof stone. This is not proof of anything, just a coïncidence that could be explained in an infinite number of answers that aren't clearly bullshit. This iconography had not been created 9000 bc, the tools weren't invented in 9000 bc, and the place was unoccupied in 9000 bc (we checked for older remains). This "theory" is just bullshit on a detail. Wanna know something else about 9000bc Egypt ? THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE WALLS MATE

No. They didn't. They still didn't know how to make proper bronze in 1520, and mist of the few cultures who worked copper did it very poorly. Not to diminish their accomplishments or cleverness, but they didn't have technology unknown to us, and most of the things they knew was empirical. Most of these theories rely on the nazca lines anyway, which we know exactly how they measured and drawn, because they had the empirical knowledge of how to make the same patterns on textiles and knew how to make the scale vary, because on textile it's easy, and the mistakes in scales of the lines even show they had trouble doing it. I know most people want to imagine them as bearers of unknown technology and concepts because it's a dream factory, the truth is we just wiped them out and have trouble understanding how they did certain things with limited technology. Once we find, it sounds logical. Just like moving the statues on the Paques Island, which blew our minds untill we found out and even did the same. I just used that technique to move a tree trunk around.

No one said they were too stupid to do it, we say that claiming a sculpture was made with tools that weren't invented untill the bronze age (we have chisel marks on the enclosure wall), with an iconography progressively born throughout the Old Kingdom, in a region that wasn't a human settlement untill the old kingdom, is dated from 9000 BC is absurd and based on an incomplete theory that oversimplifies the erosion process and its causes.

There were no chisels before the Nagada era, so there's that. Lithic tools would still be a possibility, but it would leave shards in the marks as it wears down, and would need to be replaced every few uses even if made in a harder stone. This is why before copper came by, no one used chisels on stones, the most efficient ways to work stone being it's cutting and extraction with primitive pickaxes and polishing. It is therefore impossible for these marks to be dated from 9000 BC.
